Typical Texas arrogance...legends in your own mind. Destroyed a good Southwest Conference, that could have been as big as the SEC, destroyed the Big XII..

I am against any more dilution of the brand. Keep both of them out.

The old SWC was like the current SEC consisting of every college athletics program in the state of FL plus one oddball out of state program like Georgia Tech.

You guys know that........right? Do you even know who was in the old SWC?

Let's reconstruct the current SEC in the old SWC model and see what that looks like.

Florida State
Florida
Miami
USF
UCF
Florida A&M
Florida Atlantic
Florida International University
Georgia

Now I may not be a rocket surgeon, but that right there seems to be a conference with a fatal structural flaw in the era of big TV market contracts.

Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado and aTm all left the big 12 to get away from Texas. frick Texas. OU is fine, but no way we should allow Texas into the SEC

I agree. If I was running the SEC I’d be kicking out the dead weight, not adding teams.

Don't worry, the stakes aren't that high this time. Texas will now only be instrumental in destroying college football.

Only WE in the SEC can talk about them. Oklahoma and Texas are not SEC, hopefully never will be, and can frick right off.

Bless your heart.

Your good years will see y’all at 4 loses in football. In basketball y’all might be top 5ish in the conference. Baseball? SEC baseball will make y’all wrestling fans.

Amen! It’s not the football program that’s the problem at UT it’s the culture. You inherit ALL the internal Texas politics, specifically alumni & boosters. They’ve single handedly destroyed 2 conferences, why would you invite that into your home?

You think Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, A&M, and Missouri “tolerated” Texas?

That’s 5 major programs with major money that Texas ran roughshod over. You think the SEC is special? Texas is in the process right now of making secret deals behind conference members’ backs. You think that’s going to change when you’re IN the conference??

we literally ended your team’s season (which was the single greatest Tennessee baseball team of all time) and finished better than all but 2 teams in the sec who were in the national finals.

That and our nation’s best regional all-time record, super regional all-time record, and Omaha all-time record… I think we’ll be just fine in baseball

They are giving up the Longhorn Network to join the SEC
That's what destroyed the Big 12

Much of Texas would like to 'build a wall' around Austin. Defund police, increasing crime, far left politics.

No thanks.

The SWC, especially after Arkansas left, was more akin to what it'd look like today if Alabama joined the Sun Belt. Half of the teams did not make it to P5, and Baylor only making it on political pressure.
