Looking forward to: a change of schedule, benefit of conference wide overrating, the value of a quality loss moving us up in the polls, more money, easier recruiting, a new MB, the fun of mocking the Aggie , and of course the famous sec sec sec......

Seemed like back when A&M was in the Big XII there was more of an "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" type vibe amongst Aggie and Sooner fans for the most part.
There is a lot of Aggie hate and bitterness on this board toward OU. Don't really remember that at all in trips to College Station win or lose.

Neither did I, I actually liked A&M and their fans (even though some of their culture is just plain weird, but being a vet it was no different and in fact had its roots in military culture) although 77-0 did mark a bit of a change, that chafed. I think the trolls here are just bitter about OU and mainly Texass joining the league and eclipsing their unique position in the SEC. I think we are getting some collateral fire from hate aimed at Texass. I love the line that we came "begging", that is silly, OU was invited in 2010, and if not for Boren being so politically concerned over Okie Lite (instead of acting solely in OU's best interest as he should have) would have joined then. I think both the SEC and OU knew it was only a matter of time. It was not a one sided charity deal, it was clear benefit from both sides. OU was going somewhere, and the SEC understood that OU going there (along with Texass) solidified its dominance. If OU and Texass had gone to the B1G (which I believe would have been the eventual alternative), it would have elevated the B1G to equal status with the SEC from a standpoint of money, networks, markets etc.

Meh. I wouldn’t take what you see on this board too seriously as a bellwether. Most Ags I know have no particular hatred for OU. Could just be “guilt by association” in the expansion.

that’s because we’re one of the few schools that know hiw to treat guests like guests, even if theyre Sooners or ‘Sips

Living in Houston for almost 10 years, I almost never run into any OU fans. Houston is mainly A&M, tu and LSU.

I just honestly don't care a lot about OU one way or another. It's friendly banter - should grow a thicker skin before joining the SEC or you are screwed. As for your thoughts that many A&M fans are bitter I would say you are right
But it is also a good thing. It galvanized the A&M boosters into more of a "screw everyone" and we will just buy a championship mode. We know that nobody has our back (screw that snake, Sankey). This isn't the A&M you used to know anymore, Sooners. We are like it or not, a lot more like Texas these days (at least from an arrogance standpoint). We have more resources, and we are going to use them

To piggy back off of that. Better yet it would be like the SEC never expanding in 92 or 12 and losing Big6 members leaving only Bama and Tennessee. Imagine an SEC without all other brands.
The big12 is a shell of its former self. It once was a decent league. Not SEC good but maybe 2nd or 3rd regularly.

Our athletic department doesn’t owe the school 30 million dollars.
We don’t have boy cheerleaders grabbing their business under the goals posts.
We don’t worship at the feet of a bunch of cult members who think they are army.

You are right, sip. You suck at everything execpt for (let me check my notes) swimming and volleyball. Your athletic department is a joke these days, and it isn't getting any better. Now, sit down and see if you can salvage at least a two seed from that craptastic baseball team. See if you can break even against the likes of Kansas this Fall. Maybe you might get a draft pick or two

And what is even wrong with fans that didn't attend the school? That's a little nazi doctor of you, wouldn't you say? Isn't the point of having support actually having people that can support?
Then again - it's so incredibly easy to get into a&m that there's probably no need to be a t-shirt fan. Buying a t-shirt is probably the only prerequisite to be admitted
