Playing Arkansas gives us about as much benefit as playing UTSA or Texas Tech. We want Bama.

For traveling purposes only, I’d say Arkansas, Missouri, and Texas.

'm old and still remember the SWC days, so this trio would suit me just fine. I think Arkansas would benefit from this as well with the increased games in Texas. Kinda sucks for aggy though as I think they'd prefer to nurture the LSU rivalry.

Your 3 permanent opponents won’t be the same as A&M or OU. You 3 will get each other, but the 3rd one will be different for each of you.

1. Texas - without question

2. Arkansas - Makes sense from a proximity standpoint, and we've rarely played them since the 1920s. 12 of the 15 games were played from 1899-1926.

3. An upper-tier team from the current East. Things change over time, so if it's permanent, I'd just like it to be a sucessful program overall.

Texas A&M would be beneficial for recruiting, but I think having a rival in the eastern footprint of the conference would be as well.

...or possibly one of the Mississippi schools because their fans are fun, and both programs are heading in a positive direction.

Yeah I was still thinking of the pod thing from way back. I realize they're not gonna go that way.

If I was a gambling person I would say we get OU (old big 8), Arkansas (battle line) and USC (mayor's cup).

We don't want bama lol, we want the easiest path to the SEC championship. Aggy, Mizzou, and Vandy, please.

You get better by playing the best, you have to go through them anyway if they are the best. Also, they won't ALWAYS be the dominant program they are now.

It makes sense if you're looking long term. Saban is getting older and Alabama's star is fading. They aren't going to be the Alabama you've known for very much longer.

You guys seriously need to check with Tennessee on this. It’s going to be extremely hard to win anything important if you have to play in Bryant-Denny every other year. But by all means, if you don’t believe me, have at it.

I didn't say they were gonna start sucking, but they aren't going to be the machine they've been once Saban leaves. And I don't need to check with Tennessee on anything. Texas is not Tennessee.
