Not sure if this has been discussed, but Jordan Rodgers said that Jarrett Stidham told him that he wanted to go to aTm but Sumlin went all in on Mond and never called him back. Do you guys think your season is different if he comes there?
Also do you think this situation along with Kenny Hill, Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray will play a part in the decision made on Sumlin?

My personal opinion is that Sumlin thought he had a good thing with Starkel and that he was similar to Stidham, so he rolled the dice with Mond who potentially had a higher ceiling, and was a package deal with an "elite" receiver and a good LBer.
Our season would definitely be different, because we wouldn't have tried playing 2 QBs vs. UCLA, and if Stidham got hurt, wed still have Starkel. But in the end, it was Sumlin's job that was on the line so it was his decision to make.
Yes.

All he offers on any board is an emoticon or some tryhard contrarian shtick.

Sumlin's inability to handle QB's has a LOT to do with his moving on. Pretty sure the final nail in the coffin was Stidham, and his waxing A&M in front of all the money at Kyle Field this year
Yes, Stidham wanted to come to A&M. First, we took Kevin Murray over him, and then Mond at a later date. Always said that was stupid - not once, but twice!

Conversely, Gus would have been fired right now.

If Sumlin gets Stidham he’s coaching the Ags in 2018. Let’s not forget Sumlin had his shot at Stidham in 2015 but chose Kyler Murray and his crazy Dad.
No doubt Stidham will play his best against the Ags the next 2 years as well

That's what I read too. Was Sumlin's decision to pass on JS.

It is well known he didn't want to go to auburn

It's good for us that Auburn is the only school who offered him a shot.

With Stidham we're probably 9-2 instead of 7-4
