How do you manage to overpay for a guy from a basketball school
I guess I’m not seeing the issue. It’s only overpaying if the payor thinks the agreed upon amount is too much. The terms seem reasonable to me.
We were either going to be criticized for paying too much for a coach or for bringing in a guy who didn’t command a decent salary. Such is life on tSECr.

Just realized what the 11 M assistant pool means
Is that per year? Because the Auburn staff is just under $7MM. But that's just this year. The entirety if all the assistant contracts is like $18MM.

All the alters, minors, troglodytes, and extra-chromosome-sporting posters on here will have a field day with this…but honestly, it is a perfectly reasonable and competitively written contract that I’d expect to see at any notable power 5 school who could afford it and wants to be competitive. It has a great base rate and heavy incentives. I see nothing wrong with it and if any of your schools posted such an agreement, I’d say exactly the same.

Why is it printed on a sheet of paper and distributed via selfie instead of posted to a website?

Elko's version of the plaque
Nah.
Incentives (like those listed in Elko’s deal) are standard in a contract; absurd plaques are not.

I agree that it's a fine deal.
But it's going to be posted every year at the "Furk" point (i.e. when it's clear he won't hit those incentives), just like the picture of the plaque.

theoretically make $17M that year!?
I'd bet the final wording of the contract clarifies those stages to not payout per stage, but for where the team finished as a single payout for the CFP stages.
If not, Aggie will never learn, even if it is very low risk.

Yep. Pretty darn reasonable all around.
6 years. $7 mil per year, plus incentive potential. 75% buyout if A&M wants to move on. That's about as reasonable as it gets.
If A&M gives him 3 years, and it isn't working out, that's about a $15 million buyout if my mental math is close.

It was printed by a media member.
I’ve no idea from where he accessed it.
This wasn’t an official deliverable, circulated by the AD.

This is actually a good point.
Everybody should grab a screenshot of that contract they created on wordperfect now.

Specifically, Liucci’s account.
Many others reposted it as well.

Give it up.
This troll has been on a tear lately.
All she wants to do is rile up responses.

Is each incentive compounding or just the threshold on which the incentive stops and the final payout?
