Then they spend a year in town, tell A&M fans to "smd" and get out of town as fast as possible
Because ONE sour grape is completely representative of an entire program’s history, right? Just bulletproof logic there

Aggies hire Aggie
This is a selling point Jimbo uses when recruiting. If he can't get them into the NFL, an Aggie will hire them in the oil and gas industry. One from my old HS went this route through A&M and football

80% of the people that read this have never been to College Station and want to believe the anonymous people who post here using fake names (many have multiple accounts), who have an agenda.
It's located in the middle of a triangle of DFW, San Antonio and Houston. Austin is 90 miles away but it has turned into such a liberal cesspool due to the Californians, texas university dropouts and the homeless moving there.
You mean the thing that the vast majority of college aged kids are these days?...I assure you "conservative family values" is not the pitch you wanna use to sell your town to 17-18 year olds in 2022.

A&M fans trying to justify they are receiving all this top recruits because they offer so much besides just the money
Stop it! just own it. You guys make alot of money and are buying the best thats at least being honest. Saying you offer so much more makes you look like a joke.

That's not dragging Walter Nolen to College Station...No one believes that, you don't believe that.

That's one legitimate advantage A&M has to many other universities that nobody can really deny - the aggy network is big and loyal. They will hire their own before they hire more qualified candidates who come from other schools. If you're a college kid and truly on the fence between say Texas and Texas A&M, A&M would be the better pick just because of how the alumni are.

There is definitely some truth to that.

It’s a conversation.
People here make, uninformed, incorrect statements about our university.
We correct them.
SECr posters respond with: “Ha! aggy is melting! So obsessed! Their five milkmen scare off players! So gay! They’re jealous of us! They have nothing to offer! What a cult! Hope their oil money doesn’t run out! Just wait until the horns get here! Their coach sucks! “

I think there's a level of comfort any football player can enjoy knowing if their career ends in practice their freshman year, they'll make 6 figures regardless for the rest of their lives

Maybe not conservative family values, but there's damn sure value in being able to go about your business without walking past tent cities or being accosted by street people at all hours of the day and night.
That was major factor for me in deciding to go to A&M over UT Austin as an 18 year old who loved to party. And Austin has gotten a lot worse in that regard since then. Even 15 years ago, the street people in Austin were a PITA that I had no desire to put up with on a daily basis. Especially if I had to be on campus late at night for whatever reason.

I think we cal all agree that there has been “incentives” long before NIL.
I also think we can all agree that the Ags have, for the moment, a leg up on leveraging NIL.
But to just say ITS MONEY is lazy because if we look at the first agreement any school can offer that. While the Aggies have a lot of BMD with the resources I can assure you that every single Other team also has those same types of donors.
Now, if NIL will only impact the very upper Crust of the best of the best there has to be something else.
ITS THE MONEY is intellectually lazy.

I hope so. Vandy has an 11 billion dollar endowment and lots of wealthy donors.

Again, your "Aggie network" isn't flipping a high 4 star safety from South Georgia away from UGA...It's not making the number one D lineman in the country from Tennessee go off the reservation and pick A&M...Those kids aren't thinking "Well geez, what if I blow out my knee and never go to the NFL?...Might as well make that so called 40 year decision", they're kids that would be in Athens and Tuscaloosa if money weren't involved...Again, I don't really care, good for y'all for making this new world work for you, but don't try and say it's something that it's not.

They do care about it if most of their NIL offers are the same. Of A&M offers more money, that backup plan is just icing
