Gilbert is batshit crazy and a locker room problem to boot. Doubt he ever plays a full season in the SEC.

Gaslight much?
Sincerely hope this kid gets his life straight and much needed help. Football is an afterthought at this time.

Thats not gaslighting, diverting to a completely differnt topic is gaslighting.

It’s kind of wild how much drama one young player has caused for so many different programs in such a short period of time

I don't doubt that he has something going on mentally, but is it actually schizophrenia? I question if it's that because from what I know about schizophrenia, you would not be able to get him to step foot on a practice field.
The average age for the onset of schizophrenia in men is the late teens to early twenties. If he is suffering from schizophrenia it's quite possible (if not likely) that he went through his high school years relatively if not completely normal.

I just hope this stuff does not take a tragic turn.

Wrong.
Clearly you've never had to deal with a narcissist. Consider yourself lucky.

If only your bulldog brethren had taken a similar approach when he left LSU, then joined UF, then left UF, then flirted with LSU again, then joined UGA, and now not with UGA…in less than a year.

Gaslighting can be summed up as "who are you going to believe? Me, or your lying eyes?"
Also, early 00s radio anthem "It Wasn't Me".

Probably got enough money from all three to postpone any action until some NFL team takes a chance on him in 2023.

Hope that Arik figures things out. Don't GAF about his football career at this time.
Hope that as a person he can find stability and happiness.

gas·light
gerund or present participle: gaslighting
manipulate (someone) by psychological means into questioning their own sanity.
"in the first episode, Karen Valentine is being gaslighted by her husband"
You both are using it wrong. I'm wasn't trying to make the OP question his own sanity, or even the player in a malicious way. I honestly think he has mental health issues and think it is low class to keep talking about it. Either he will resolve them or he won't, either way it is none of my business.

Starting to wonder? Like everyone's been lying since he opted out at LSU?

A few UGA insiders have implied that this is seriously all just a situation where Gilbert got pissy cause he was running second team and got mad mad.
Of course, that has not been verified, but I've heard a few folks say something along those lines.
If it is something more serious then I hope it gets worked out but I don't anticipate Gilbert to be a bulldog this season.

I hope that's the case for his sake.
I mean, I always like to the see the players that are superhyped play, even if it isnt for LSU.
Big tight ends are pretty fun to watch, like when Jimmy Graham was catching passed from Brees. The size and jumping of graham, it was funny to watch people attempt to guard him.
