Right now it’s one inning late in games that are typically in hand. I think the plan is to bring him along and be a late inning, 3 out pitcher regardless of the situation (one inning closer). Will probably go a little longer but probably no more than 2 innings.

Agreed. We have been wasting his arm most games so far.

He is a great talent but Vols need to start using him more aggressively.

he had Tommy John in october of 2020. I would just use him as closer maybe 8-9 inning and just tell him fastball/change. He will overwhelm hitters for an inning or so. Any longer or more than once around a lineup and guys will catch up to the heat.

My uncle was like that. He grew from a very average size to near 6'5 after he graduated HS. It's more common for guys than folks realize.

While I still don't believe it is common, it does happen.
It happened to Dennis Rodman.

I hope he pitches one of the games vs Alabama in a couple weeks. I’ll be up there for work and going to all 3 for the hell of it.

Stop trying to tell others how to root for their teams. Who is trying to be funny here? No one.You wouldn't go out of your way to tell me that to my face, so don't say it from behind your keyboard. I bet you were a JG supporter weren't you?

This tells me so much about you. You don’t even realize it though. Think about this, you just called out a fellow vol fan ,in a negative way ,for maybe, being a supporter of a guy that was the quarterback of the school you’re a fan of. Like it’s a bad thing to support a qb that literally gave his blood sweat and tears for the university. I’ve seen you say this multiple times.
What a piece of crap you can be.

Jared literally cried on tv because he loved playing for Tennessee and won a game after he’s been through a lot. Your ultimate comeback is,” you were a jg supporter”. You go to that line like it’s something to be proud of . frick you

ETA: this shite is still on my mind, I remember 2 or3 years ago , saying on this board , how much I respected that kid and how much I hoped things would work out for him. Of all people, you pick that kid to insult on a regular basis

Holy crap. You are the biggest fricking pussy ever.

You sound like a retarded liberal snowflake.

So you are suggesting we should support our worst starting QB in perhaps school history in year THREE where he has proven to bea terrible fit at that position for our team? I have no problem supporting him...as long as he is in his proper place...on the bench.

Yes...screw anyone who kept pushing for him to be trotted out there each game instead of letting other QBs even gasp...try. JG was a good kid overall but no where close to SEC starting QB material. Yet there were still fans cheering for him to be the starter and for the others to not even get a fair qb competion. Most painful stretch of Tennessee football ever.

So go screw yourself snowflake.

Absolutely not, he can sit the bench , doesn’t mean he’s gotta be the litmus test for Tennessee fandom, in a negative way. Especially among fans of the vols.

You don’t see how that’s fricked up?

I’m not advocating playing the guy, I don’t think he needs to be actively rooted against.
I think you misunderstood what I meant

He’s been a little bit of both. He’s not been used in any high leverage situations yet. Tony V has been extremely cautious with his workload as well. Hopefully he can stay healthy all year I’ve never seen anything like this at UT

I can't even take you serious. Go hug a tree or something.

Also, scroll up. I was happily talking about vol baseball until that douche bag went out of his way to try and police me over me just being excited about vol sports.

They hate me because they ain't me.

That’s insane. I’ve faced mid 90s before, and at that speed you barely have enough time to decide if you’re gonna swing or not. With a pitch thrown at 104 mph, I’d be swinging as soon as the ball left his hand and pray that he throws it where my bat is.

David Robinson was 5’ 9” as a high school junior. Entered Annapolis at 6’ 7”. Had to get a waiver from the Supe because he was an inch over the 6’ 6” limit. They let him in because he was not expected to grow more. He graduated at 7’ 1”.

(I don’t recall there being a limit when my boy got his appointment there. He was 6’ 4” and still growing and it never came up. He’s pushing 6’ 6” now in his 3rd year, but probably done.)

High inside fastballs at that speed are impossible to hit.

Also, your shitposting sucks. Zero creativity.
