It's the fat fearful old low-T white guy fake conservative behind the keyboard that gives the rest of us conservatives a bad name.

I think we just have different definitions of bully.

quote:

seek to harm, intimidate, or coerce

I don't see little girls making fun of a shirt as them fitting the above definition.

So making fun of someone because theyre poor doesnt "harm" them...alright bub

Some kids made fun of another kid at school because he was too poor to own a decent shirt... that is textbook bullying

No. It shouldn't harm them.

It's ok to disagree. I understand where you are coming from.

The kid should sue for a portion of the T-shirt revenue based on creative rights and institutional bullying taking advantage of his story.

UT Vols are pitiful, profiteering off of a 10 year old that got bullied. You all should be embarrassed.

I wonder how a kid that young became at UT fan during one of the worst runs in UT history.

exactly... totally sounds completely fabricated. They even offered him a scholarship....... 8 years from now. I bet they didn't put that in writing either. Who knows who their chancellor will be then and if they will be able to honor the scholarship.

Puhleeze. What's truly pitiful is you ignoring what's already been posted (see below again) and attempting to make genuine good deeds done for a child into something nefarious because you don't like a particular football team.

quote:

"All proceeds from the sale of the shirts will go directly to the charity Stomp Out Bullying. The university will cover the cost of the scholarship separately. Orders will begin shipping later this month."

I'm not doubting he's a UT fan. Just wondering how that came to be in Florida.

I'm just providing a counter argument. A trust should be setup for him with 4 year tuition contribution amount. It should then be invested into a growth or a balanced fund. That will outpace tuition costs. Then once he gets in to Harvard or MIT he will have the ability to pay for it using the funds from the trust versus going to a university not in the same universe academically.

Which is weird of you to say because I can't even get around the number of Texas cars driving into Fl when I am trying to get home. The number of 30A stickers on non Florida cars is pretty telling, but I will play along with it.

Tennessee did a class thing. They needed some positive PR with all of the football disaster unfolding.

Y’all are some maudlin SOBs sometimes. Poor kid. What about kids whose parents die in fiery car crashes? Where are their scholarships? This was a PR stunt, period.

Sounds like your old man and my old man oughta be drinking buddies. I got the same speech.
