I worked at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Vanderbilt hospital though offered free tuition or tuition assistance to your kids if you worked there for five years if I remember correctly. I always thought that was a pretty good incentive.

I was posting it more in the vein of that's impressive.

Regardless of the financial bottom line, the amount of goodwill generated by this is priceless.

In my mind, that's why they extended the offer they did.

Ah sorry, I misread you there.

it would have had to be kids who were participating in college colors day who would have said something for it to be bullying.

I guess that's what you guys call it in Florida. But still, I thought it was pretty cool of Tennessee to do this.

He taped a piece of notebook paper to his chest with UT scribbled on it.

No worries. Seeing yoy are a volunteer fan I can understand if you've got the wagons circled and are a bit on the defensive.

Am I the only one who noticed Tennessee was spelled incorrectly?

As cool as I think it is that they're doing this, I agree 100%. This is one of those times where I kinda don't blame them. I've never liked Tennessee but I just don't have it in me to make fun of them right now. I pity Tennessee.

I grew up in a different state than my favorite college team. When those teams play there is always going to be banter. Every year I wanted to beat that team so bad because I knew the next day in school you were always going to be given the business

That’s what sports fandom is about. That goes with the territory

Without knowing all the ins and outs of this story I hope that parents and teachers know that kids are going to get some stick for their favorite team from different fans

Now maybe it got mean because it’s a homemade shirt but for crissakes what do you expect if you wore a Texas shirt to an Oklahoma school. Or Michigan in an Ohio school. You are going to get ripped on

We bought the shirt cause my wife liked the story, but he wasn't bullied at all. We are in stiff decline as a society.

A scholarship to Tennessee?

Hasn't the kid suffered enough?

Have to agree with those that say being bullied and being picked on are 2 different things.

However, still see this as a feel good story. Maybe a bit over the top due to the state of how "feelings" are handled nowadays but good nonetheless.

He joins the 85 other kids they've got on scholarship that has been bullied on campus the last two weeks.
