Lot of smoke on message boards that the NCAA hammer will be coming down upon UT today. Can any Vols confirm their impending doom? What is this all even about?

I just clicked on the Tennessee board here and the last post is almost 2 weeks ago

Their pinned basketball thread is from last season, and they have a thread on the front page whose last post was in February (of last year)!

Hopefully Proot gets let go without a show-cause so bama can bring him back home with a token GA salary, letting UT foot the rest of the bill for his services.

Is this in any way going to affect my pre-season tradition of watching UT fans claiming to "be back"?

I’m sure UT could get out of a buyout with this, especially if Proot is hit with a show cause.

I doubt it. It would be way too quick for the NCAA. They drag these things out for years.

Tennessee coaches and administrators have recently been meeting with compliance staff, attorneys, and NCAA officials via Zoom.

Is time running out for Pruitt on Rocky Top?

The University is desperately trying to remove Pruitt through its internal investigation with "cause." The NCAA would be staring at the Pruitt fallout much, in the same manner, they are now staring at Will Wade.

If the University removes Pruitt with so-called "cause" and it's not much more than a slap on the wrist to the NCAA, they are going to get real familiar with Sexton and his lawyers in a new and more interesting way. Best pay the buyout.

Most cheating scandals are handled away from the coach on purpose. Boosters do this shite separate from the program.

The coach should be the last to know.

It best be careful or they will find the entire university sports program on watch.

Yeah, this seems like more hopeful Tennessee fans that love to burn down the program and coach every few years

I'd call NCAA sanctions a mercy kill at this point.

That Bama over Tenner for 114 straight seasons joke from the SEC Shorts video is starting to seem like a realistic possibility.
