My 8U team just beat them 16-1 at the DYB World Series.

All their coaches had mustaches and their fans were trashy.

Of course you are one of those trashy redneck dads that has his child playing travel baseball as a 7 year old. Your son will probably have tommy john surgery before he is 13 because you’ll have him throwing curveballs at ten years old.

Good for y’all.

Is there an issue with mustached coaches? And generally modern travel ball fans are trashy.

I don't know about Tennessee baseball but the Tennessee National Guard have been real life savers in Eastern Kentucky. They rescued 224 people. Thank you.

Thanks to West Virginia National Guard too.

At least 1,432 Kentuckians have been rescued by first responders from Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia.

The Kentucky National Guard rescued 404 individuals by aircraft.
The Tennessee National Guard rescued 224 by air.
The West Virginia National Guard rescued 36 by air.
Nineteen people and two dogs have been rescued by boat by the Kentucky National Guard.
Kentucky State Police has assisted or is assisting in 624 water rescues.
Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has assisted in 125 water rescues.
“We are so grateful to all those responders, and a special thank you to the Governors and the Guard of Tennessee and West Virginia,” Gov. Beshear said.

My workplace is gathering up tools and cleaning supplies to take up there this week (we start loading the trucks up today). There is still a lot of work to be done for the people of Eastern Kentucky that were devastated by floods last week.

Everyone involved with DYB is trashy. Little League is where you'll find the classy people.

World Series

I love how they have several of these every weekend. There are probably 200 "national champions" in each age group.

Need team name to verify on Gamechanger. I have the premium version. Just give me the name of the team you beat and where they are from :)

What kind of poor doesn't go premium? How else do you get all the advanced analytics and splits from the 10U squad?

Quality metric

Most important job on the parent squad is Gametracker. Can't have some squishy "no errors" person on the trigger. Gotta have good inputs.

For sure...kid is a pitcher so I hand out errors and passed balls like it my job. Also, any error on the other team is a hit for my kid, not an error.

There are a lot of salty people on here concerning travel ball. The fact is, league ball sucks for most people in smaller towns, so many parents (including myself) put their kids in travel ball for a better experience.

EVERY player in college or MLB played travel ball. West Monroe High School just won the State Championship. Every one of their players played travel ball leading up to high school.

For the record, OP is talking about his All Star team. These are kids that earned their spot on the team through league ball.

Lol travel ball is fine and dandy for kids aged 11-18. A lot of us here including myself played the competitive travel ball circuit growing up. What people here are mocking is the concept of little kids who should still be playing machine pitch being on a “travel” team. Travel ball for 7 year olds is just goofy. Your kid, or anyone’s kid, won’t become one of the 0.001% of kids to play baseball professionally based on whether or not they played travel ball in 1st and 2nd grade. If anything the parents who prematurely put their son through the travel ball grinder are more likely to burn them out or ruin their arms before they hit puberty. Growing up I remember the best player in the entire state of Tennessee from age 9-middle school that made Mookie Betts seem average couldn’t even throw a ball across the infield by the time he reached HS because the tendons on his arm were literally destroyed by his idiot redneck dad forcing him to throw curveballs and play 100 games every summer as a child.
