You seem in a quest to prove LSU was worst than Tennessee, congrats take the title. It’s not one that anyone should be proud of lol

Inject this directly into my veins with a "Let's argue who was shittier, LSU vs Tenner" chaser.

Just posting factual information, they were pretty comparable situations and both coaches did a pretty good job of getting things back on track.

They are comparable in one aspect and totally different in so many others. Thats not debatable

Yeah

Which is not to dispute all of the challenges Tennessee had. Orgeron just completely blew it after the championship year.

Heupel deserves a ton of credit for bringing Tennessee back to respectability. Kelly did an amazing job salvaging the first season and recruited a Heisman quarterback. But he hasn't yet had the kind of success to justify the contract

24/7 - Talent Composite Ratings for each in their first year.

2021 - Tennessee - #19 - 81 commits - (3) 5-star, (26) 4-star
2022 - LSU - #8 - 72 Commits - (5) 5-star, (33) 4-star

Because all scholarship players are equal. 1 star = 5 star

Can't penalize Kelly for assembling a better roster, IMO

Kelly took over a team that was on their 3rd season after winning a NC, and were 6-7/3-5 the year before.

Heupel took over a team that was 3-7/3-7 (before the wins were vacated) the year before where the coach had been fired for cause and the program was under NCAA investigation. It might be a little harder to assemble a quality roster under those conditions.

Last time the VOLS played a top tier team they embarrassed themselves and the conference.

Do we really have to play this card again?

Go back and look at the contracts when Kelly was hired.

Now compare them to contracts right now.

You were kind enough to provide that little breakdown. Would you be willing to share the average ranking per win and per loss vs top-25 opponents for each time and their win-loss record against teams ranked in the top 10 at the time? Or shall I?

I can't believe this dumb thread is still going.

Let me sum it up:

Yes Tennessee is the fourth best SEC team since Heupel took over, going by win loss record.

And yes, this AnM poster is hyperventilating and needs to get his tampon changed.

And yes, for some reason the LSU posters are hell-bent on proving that they were worse than Tennessee.
