go read ur history of the 1925 rose bowl. they may have been 2nd or 4th, w/e. the point was that they werent always the last choice. a southern team didnt have to keep begging for a shot at being legit with the ne and the west. as much as i hate to say it, bama blazed that trail more than any other team.
