We need Vandy for academic credibility. I know we have some decent universities in this league, but we need Vandy like the ACC needs Duke. And Vandy holds their own in baseball like Duke in basketball.

If this does happen with UT and OU, the PAC can't be picky or they will become another Sun Belt Conference.

The PAC12 isn't going to want rapey Baptists and Panhandle rednecks in their conference. Despite the "Christian" in their name, TCU has become quite liberal, so they're actually the best fit of the 3.

I kind of feel bad for the PAC in this new realignment scenario. Slim pickin's after UT and OU are off the board.

Pac 12 won't want Baylor since it's a religious school.

why would Vandy leave for the Big10? Makes no sense to me. Im not sure the city of Nashville would be into that move either unless big 10 has promised Nashville gets a Big10 championship game in rotation once the stadium in renovated.

What happened to okie state having to play where OU plays? Wasn't that a thing in the last switch up?

Serious question; What makes Kansas more appealing than UCONN?

Simple answer.
Kansas is an AAU school.
UCONN is not..

Nobody in Nashville gives a damn about Vandy. They pursue their own self-interest, give back nothing and could care less about greater Nashville. Vandy changing conferences would cause barely a ripple anywhere.

The booming metropolis of Waco and Lubbock Texas in the Progressive Pac 12 Conference? I'll believe that when I see it. Wonder how Cal will react when the Guns Up crowd starts throwing tortillas at them ??

Ok, who knows what is being reported. I heard one podcast, can't remember if was CBS, 247, that said the SEC had contacted Clemson and UNC. Now I don't think UNC is every leaving Duke, their BB game with Duke is not going to be broken up and with Clemson u have SCAR, UK, UGA, and FL that have a long term (since SCAR) came into the league back in 1992 to not allow other teams from their respective states

Who the heck knows what is going on?

The ACC is the real battleground after the Big XII implodes. Texas and OU are the jewels of the Big XII so once they are taken, the attention will turn to the east coast with the DC and Charlotte markets being the most lucrative pieces. That’s why I think the SEC and B1G will go after UVa and UNC next. The ACC is trying to get in the fight with rumors last week of Penn St and Notre Dame becoming full fledged members. I don’t buy it. Notre Dame has a perfect gig as an indy and Penn State would take a pay cut to join.
So the B1G will target schools that fit their league: Syracuse, Boston College, Virginia, UNC, and maybe Duke. The SEC will flirt with Clemson, UNC, NC State, Virginia and Va Tech.
People always say “but muh Grant of Rights…” It’s true, but like any other agreement, that can be negotiated. It can also be bought out. You don’t think the right party like maybe ESPN or sponsors/boosters wouldn’t raise the money to get access to markets like Charlotte and DC and add them to their conference footprints? Stay tuned and get your popcorn ready.

I would not trust that source. The SEC doesn't want lawsuits and won't reach out to anyone first. That was the policy under Slive and I don't know why that would have changed. It is like how there were rumors about some schools not wanting A&M and Missouri but the vote was reported as unanimous.

Fair enough, I can't remember who it was, it might have been Greg M on ESPN or CBS with Chip Patterson, or 247. It was a youtube video and It was late last night and again, can't remember who it was.

Every single one of those is delusional. It adds nothing to the receiving conference.

It adds numbers. Plain and simple the conferences are going to move to 14 at the expense of the big 12, Notre Dame, and the G5 schools. Of that pool of options you take the best you can. West Virginia and Notre Dame to the ACC make sense, the rest get divided up between Pac and Big 10 with the rest joining G5 conferences.

No. No one is hoping the SEC Network shows MCAT or GRE test taking highlights.

Does Vandy baseball make money? Serious question. I am sure Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, and State do, but I'm legitimately unsure about Vandy.
