Tarp just gave a state of the program address and said Jimbo is more than likely going to be back because no one wants to write the big checks and they feel keeping the staff with a few changes and keeping the 2022 class together is the best chance of them beating Texas next year

How is this a surprise to anyone? He gets the excuse of his starting QB being injured and will get another round of changes with assistants. Yes, it’s all bullshite but he gets at least 2024 (unfortunately for us).

The amount they'll write to stop the portal exodus and secure a top 2024 class under Jimbo is likely very close to what they could pay to buy him out and seek a top hire.
