I don’t know the elements required but I think in the past they generally call something like that targeting

There should be no targeting especially in that situation. Players make plays. Toure made the play.

I don’t like the rule, but I think it should be enforced with some semblance of consistency.
I like how they’ll call it on nitpicky incidental contact or ball carriers lowering their heads — but not a flying hat on a hat on a play where both dudes don’t get up off the grass lol.

I don’t mind targeting call. Make it a 15 yrs penalty and make player sit two series. No need for ejections. That said it didn’t impact game. He threw a pick the next play. Reed just had a really bad game but Miamis defense had something to do with that.

Agreed across the board. Possibly affects the subsequent playcall though.
Still, you cannot throw that ball.

We don’t know that. Half the distance to the goal and first down. Play call may change. That being said they still gotta score.

1st and goal from the 2 is different than 3rd and goal. The no call absolutely impacted the game.
