Many AU fans thought they would continue to least stay relevant on the national stage once Cam was gone. But once you lose one of these "once in a blue moon" type athletes, it can be tough sailing.

Anyone else think TAMU will have a difficult time (like AU) once JFF is gone? Is it similar to AU or not?

A lot of their success can be attributed to Sumlin, so while there will be a dropoff at QB, they probably won't fall off the map.

Chizik was coach of the year. Let's see Sumlin without JFF.

Sumlin is a much better coach than Chizik and A&M has a lot more overall offensive talent than Auburn did.

Chizik won what, four games in two years at ISU before coming to Auburn?

No because Sumlin has a unique system, it just takes a quarterback with a quick release. You don't have to be Manziel to be successful in a Sumlin offense.

And regardless, they have the #1 high school quarterback in the country coming in, there won't be a huge drop off once Manziel leaves.

This line of thought is what I'm talking about.

You really think there won't be that much drop off? Seriously?

There may some drop off at the QB position, but we could just as easily reel in some better OLs and RBs to compensate for that. Besides, Kenny Hill ain't exactly chopped liver. Then there's Kyle Allen. Ain't skurred.

Bama fans need to take note of bama fans. They think a dynasty will last forever, but they forget what it's like when they lose coaches like bear bryant, stallings, and soon to be Saban to Texas.

Seriously. You obviously aren't very familiar with Sumlin, his teams usually lead the nation in offense, even before he had Manziel.
