A lot of their success can be attributed to Sumlin, so while there will be a dropoff at QB, they probably won't fall off the map.

I agree with this. I don't seem them competing with Alabama and LSU on a yearly basis, but they should get ~9 wins a year and have a shot at the west every 3 years or so.

we are bringing in top defensive talent. as long as we keep sumlin, we should be able to compete year in and year out

Seriously. You obviously aren't very familiar with Sumlin, his teams usually lead the nation in offense, even before he had Manziel.

you mean people on here are ignorant when it comes to other programs?

I guess someone has to keep up the hate for appearances' sake

Good job, Bham.

No because Sumlin has a unique system, it just takes a quarterback with a quick release. You don't have to be Manziel to be successful in a Sumlin offense.

And regardless, they have the #1 high school quarterback in the country coming in, there won't be a huge drop off once Manziel leaves.

Dang, too bad Auburn couldn't land a 5* top quarterback recruit to replace Cam Newton. *Caugh* Kiehl Frazier *Caugh*.

I'll eat my crow if necessary when the time comes, but after this Saturday excuse me my skepticism of the aTm defense.

well yea, but we also have never brought in the type of defensive talent we are now since the early 90s. that obviously hasnt shown on the field yet considering most of them arent ready yet

Kyle's gonna have to hold the clipboard and wait his turn behind Kenny.

I have a feeling JFF, with all the media denigration, may well win the Heisman again. Wouldn't that be something.

So what number one qb in the nation inked with Auburn after cam left. AtM class looks pretty legit. If you think that game will be easy forget it. As long as Sumlin is there they will have talent and a high scoring offense

He's become a tremendous passer. If he continues this pace, how can he be denied?

Johnny Manziel is like the entire 1987 Miami Football team all rolled into one person. I love it!

he really has. i think that a couple heisman winners have come out and said they wont vote for manziel. more recent ones. not because of the shite manziel has done, but because they "wont the heisman fraternity to grow" or some stupid shite like that

Is Kenny hill a running threat?

I think what makes the offense at aTm so dangerous is JFFs ability to escape the pocket and torch teams with his legs. Or as we saw Saturday, the fear of him doing that is just as good.

If the QB was less mobile, I think it struggles with really good defenses that can pin their ears back. IMHO.
