The weather has been fantastic for spring break down there this week. Tons of sun and hot weather.

God I miss my college daze.

The Mongolian hordes will just move on down to Pensacola or one of the Mississippi beaches I guess.
Not Pensacola. We've taken care of that problem in advance. Speaking of Aggie fans, I've seen an influx at my condo on Pensacola Beach for the 1st time. We're heavily endowed with LSU folks around my place, so it could getting interesting.

I was on the beach in Gulf Shores this past Sunday and it wasn't THAT had at least during the day. Saw lots of A&M flags, a UT Austin flag, a UT Knoxville flag, and flags from several Big 12 schools and some schools in the Midwest. Nothing too bad although that was during the middle of the day. Huge crowds of college kids though. Some very nice scenery too btw. Didn't see a ton of trash on the beach but that's because there were so many people out standing around.

What's with the fanny pack craze with the girls? Lots of girls in bikinis with fanny packs as well. I assume it's a de facto pocket for their cell phone.

In Alabama, that's a fantastic way to end up dead.

Luckily he is the usual GS old hippie and was somewhat nice to the kid. Kid was breaking in, because he was too drunk to realize it wasnt his place or withing a few miles of it

Why are you so homophobic? Is there something you need to tell us?

For an "unforgettable" experience, try Pensacola Beach on Memorial Day weekend.

Frat guys are entitled and they do things like this, unfortunately. I wish A&M had way less of them.

I think the creation of this Facebook page and the people that populate it are way more offensive than spring breakers.

I live in OB and I don't get too bent on the vacationers. It is usually blown way out of proportion any way.

At the next city council meeting, both GS OB, there will be a ordnance brought to the floor that will ban any vehicle with a Texas tag or AU sticker from crossing the canal bridge at GS, the Warf, or Alabama Point. This will be in effect from 3-1 til 4-1.

Residents of OB usually arent as immersed into the spring breakers as GS. Most residents dont live near beach hwy. GS has a lot more of the locals right there in the middle and then along 59.

Besides the trash, the main concern is how many occupants in a rental. This is also a huge problem during Hangout Fest. In PCB you have numerous hotels that simply dont care, but in GS/OB they are condos and typically owned by a private resident. Too many people in a rental can cause a lot of expense.

Whenever Widespread was at hangout we had someone witness 27 people going into our 3 bedroom rental. We had to replace couches and do significant cleaning. besides all the little odds and ends that were damaged or missing.

I guess blaming fraternities for all the problems in the world still happens today like it did when i was in college.
