No. I think this is wrong regardless if my team benefits or not. It's just wrong.

I'll take our players back but I agree, once you sign with an NFL team you forego being a collegiate athlete.
Don't know much about this Pyburn guy and I know stats aren't everything but in 4 yeas of collegiate football he had a total of 3 sacks and 10.5 TFL at Defensive End. Is anyone really rushing to pay this guy more than what he'd make as a practice squad player?

His stats dont tell the whole story. He had a lot of pressures in the backfield and holds the edge pretty well

Well I'll take the word of someone who watched him play. I remember hearing a lot about him when he got in the portal last year from Florida but don't remember seeing anything about him last season and then looked at the stats. So essentially he is the complete opposite of Princely. Princely had great stats but can't hold the edge for shite so they should compliment each other well.

He was the king of the "almost sack" last season. I swear he was a shoestring away on 15 sacks 
He's a good, not great player, but we could use DE depth.
That said, he had two sacks in an NFL preseason game then was granted ability to come back to college. College football is dead.

while i agree with this sentiment, always have, what is "right" and "wrong" at the moment? as soon as someone says "yeah they let this happen, but that will never happen"........BOOM the undeniable happens. its all wrong, mainly for the wrong reasons. college students aren't even going to classes anymore and yet they are becoming richer than what some NFL tenured players are making.
someone said on here a week or so ago something that made me laugh. just outside of 5+ years ago, kids were dying to GTFO college, now they're suing to stay in. so, its all wrong, who defines what's "more right" right now? none of it is, so i agree with lane's stance, if they're allowing it, we're going to use it and maybe even abuse it. frick the system.
