What? I think you are likely one of the most hospitality LSU fans here.

I hope no one was hospitality. LSU fans have a reputation to maintain. Piss balloons.

We were supposed to go this past October. Can't wait to go this year, never been to The Swamp. Should be a great, fun weekend..

It'll be a fun time. Maybe closer to gametime I'll create a map of where it's ok and where it's not okay to have an open container.

If this post gets enough likes from you LSU fans I will do so maybe a week before the game.

I also remember one of you guys wanting to go golfing at some of the places in Ocala the week of the game, which I could recommend a bunch of places and perhaps even go play myself. I can't remember who it was, though.

Well, if the Rant is going to meet up in Gainesville for that game, I want to go. I will wear my orange and black Tigers shirt, so y'all don't kill me.

You can drink on campus with no problems as long as you're not crossing a street on campus with beer in hand.

Also, you can tailgate on private lots just fine, just obviously don't leave the private lot with beer in hand.

Yeah...

My first and only trip to Gainesville was one of the worst road trips I've ever been on in the SEC (have been to every stadium except Knoxville). We were harassed by cops constantly outside while tailgating and also once again inside (literally went down the LSU rows one at a time and checked every ticket and were frisking people who were already in and seated)

Multiple UF fans apologized and said they know their cops are strict and dicks and blamed their President, but I have no desire to go back.

GPD and UPD have a hard on for fricking with them.

I have heard from friends that have made the trip that cops are pretty terrible towards LSU fans, or anyone with Louisiana plates on that weekend.

For the most part, when the cops frick with away fans at UF, it's because those fans are acting like dickheads. Usually when fans are standing in the middle of sections where everyone is sitting and the game is not even intense. The cops do the same thing with UF fans, but you'll just hear about it more from away fans because you want to play the victim card. LSU fans are some of the worst in the stadium.

Because we made them play us in Baton Rouge this year, duh. It's all part of the long con.

I understand your sentiment. UFPD and Gainesville PD are notoriously bad about picking fights with regular people who aren't harming anyone. It's basically a rite of passage for UF students to get nailed with an open container violation at least once.

Keep your experience in mind next time you hear about a UF player getting arrested for some dumb shite like barking at a police dog.
