If I was a sports bettor, I would have to throw down a few on the Sooners I think.

It’s unfortunate the way there are weaker parts of the bracket taking shape. Texas and Georgia would have to meet in the opening game if they both advance, while potentially being the best two teams in the field.
That could be a massive game if it takes shape.

Georgia got royally fricked in the end.
Easy regional sure but then hardest surviving Super opponent of a top 8 seed + Having to face to face the other CWS favorite in game 1 in Omaha.
The only reason UNC is the overall Omaha favorite is that side of the bracket is such asswater by comparison.
It's them and Auburn and those two schools have to be giddy AF. I said pre-regionals I felt like Auburn got the best draw of all the SEC schools then they immediately shite down their leg vs Milwaukee

Unfortunately that’s what happens. In 2023 LSU had to beat wake forest 2 times before advancing to the finals.
In 2025 the tigers had to beat the razorbacks 2 times as well to advance to the finals. Both of those series were better than the finals.

It’ll never pass because the perpetual 2-4 seeds would vote it down but rule changes that need to happen:
- Higher seed in a regional should always be the home team
- Reseed the tournament after Regionals
In theory, should be:
1. UGA vs 16. Little Rock
2. UNC vs 15. St John’s
3. Texas vs 14. Cal Poly
4. Auburn vs 13. Troy
5. Miss St vs 12. Oklahoma
6. Bama vs 11. USC
7. Oregon vs 10. WVU
8. Kansas vs 9. Ole Miss
Instead we have 1v5, 2v11, 3v7, 4v9, 10v14, etc

USC winning would set up a really strong path for either Ole Miss or Auburn to have the inside track to the title game

USC +1900
Troy +4500
Good chance one of them is in the final.. certainly better than those odds..

No they didn’t, Arkansas had to beat LSU twice and LSU won the first game.
Nevermind, I get what you mean now.

No clue why but I always find myself rooting for the SEC in baseball. So much less hostile than football

Their odds to win it all can’t actually be that bad.
