I’m glad you learned something today.

Bama led the majority of a series that we were 1 shy of being struck out 50 times in, and we were 1 Texas hit away from being swept in the bottom of the 9th. Fortunately, we stole one and that’s probably all we needed to do in this series.

Dear sir, we are discussing Alabama/Texas. Not Texas A&M/LSU.

Alabama led 14 of 27 innings.

I didn't know that A&M actually leads the all time series against LSU 35-32. Please correct if wrong. But LSU has the hardware unfortunately.

State with a much needed sweep over South Carolina. Still have a lot work to do to recover from the damage done the last two weekends. But this helps.
Heck of a good Sunday game. Good pitching by both squads and State eeked out a 4-3 win in 11 innings.

An arm is a mobile limb. It’s not glued down.

I feel the need to complain because we just got swept at home by A&M and it all has to do with the fact our ball club is a tier 4 team in 2026, plain and simple.

Both Oregon and Southern Miss hosted last year with 20+ RPIs at the end of the regular season.

Georgia is on track for ~19 wins in conference. We hve road series wins in College Station, Starkville, and Fayetteville. We also have an ELO of 5 and a DSR of 8. Barring a total collapse over the next 4 series, we’re going to host and be a top 8 seed.

Not good examples. They always have to go down the list to get non-SEC teams into the host spots. Last time I checked, UGA wasn’t a non-SEC team.

That said, I think UGA is in a good spot and just needs to finish the season strong, obviously.

Oklahoma sweeps Missouri with a 8-4 victory.

Missouri falls to 20-20 and 3-15 on the season, and 122-254 in the SEC since 2013.

So sad.

OU is 6-0 vs Mizzou since joining SEC. Win 8-4.

Rager pitched a 1 hit shutout thru 5 with 8 Ks and 0 walks and was pulled. His first pitches since Mar. True freshman.

The point being RPI isn’t an end all be all in the process.

Case in point: Georgia is now 18th in RPI with 8 Q1 wins and a 39 SOS.

USC is ranked ahead of us at 15 with 0 Q1 and a 47 SOS.

A&M at 8 with 5 Q1 and a 35 SOS.

Nebraska just jumped 13 spots in the RPI to 14 after sweeping USC this weekend. They have 9 Q1 wins and a 56 SOS.

It’s a metric that attempts to rank teams without bias but it’s not a complete picture nor is it infallible.

It’s not but again highly correlated and your 44 SOS is currently UGA’s hold up.

That will obviously improve as we get deeper into SEC play, not to mention GT in the midweek.

UGAs RPI will probably take care of itself if you keep winning at a decent clip due to SEC schedule.

That said, name the last SEC team to host a regional that was ranked 18th or worse in RPI and didn’t have a person on the committee.
