Just scooped his 3rd 4star defensive lineman in 24 hours and has a 92% blue chip rate on this class which is now in the top 10. Oh and 18 of his 20 recruits are from Florida.

I think Napier is a good get, he was one of the three guys I wanted at LSU.

2 months ago we were dead in the water with like 5 commits all 3*.

Since that time Napier and co have pulled in like 16 or 17 4*.

That would be way cooler if he had anyone on his staff who could actually coach on the field

Florida has one of their worst seasons in like 30 years while Arky has one of their best and Florida still has a better recruiting class the next season

How many times has Sunbelt Billy made the playoffs?

I kinda feel you should be posting this at your fellow Gator fans rather than generally. They were the ones hand wringing over your recruiting.

You're really bragging about Brian Kelly getting embarrassed in the playoffs twice after waltzing through an easy schedule at ND? Pathetic

Seems like his UL team was ranked in top 20 nationally ahead of LSU the last two years and was probably the best team in Louisiana.

Also he has been a head coach a total of four years and was top-twenty ranked two of them. Three 10+ win seasons. You do realize Napier made playoffs four times at Alabama don’t you?.

Somehow I get the impression you are either butt-hurt about Napier’s success at UL, or afraid he’d is going to raise Florida up and start a run on LSU beginning this year. Or is it both that causes you to utter such off-the-wall Tiger-rant type idiotic inanities.

Those inanities included that stupid sun-belt moniker. I remember fans like you getting their jollies calling Coach Saban. “little nickie,” 10-15 years ago. How’d that dismissive insult work out for you?

Yep, he was a good hire and would have been a good hire if LSU had hired him as well.

It's the kind of G5 coach you want to get and take a chance on. He lifted that program up and made it better. Not a guy like Harsin who took over an already successful program and wasn't really able to keep it up to that standard.

Napier is going to be a solid coach. He is exactly what Florida needed. A real football coach that's not going to rely on a gimmicky offense. The talents in his back yard. Miami is trying to be good again which is somewhat of a problem for them but there is enough talent in the state to share. Nab a few out of state guys and do your Jon in Florida and you should land a top 10 class every year which is enough to win. Start winning regularly and that top 10 class automatically becomes a top 5 class. I hate Florida but they did the smart thing. I think that was a significantly better hire long term than lsu. Even tho it had more splash appeal.

Florida always recruits better than Arkansas, didn’t matter the last time we played.

The state of Florida is just a tad bit bigger than Arkansas.

His class is ranked 4 spots behind Kelly and LSU is the favorite to land at least 2 more 5 stars, and in it for 2 more

I'm really saying program stability, building from the inside up cliche shite. The guy may never win a title but he is very consistent in his method, which worked at a smaller school. I think his biggest obstacles were going to be recruiting which he's doing a good job at and earning the fan bases trust. They might have a rough year or 2 and how the university handles that will be what his career there lives or dies by.

Yeah, the situation isn't good right now but it won't be long before Florida is back among the cream in the East. That's why we HAVE to get them this year.
