Yeah, one of my customers at the Post Office was bitching because it may cause problems at his fishing tournament down in Alabama.

Same.
People just focus on the "category" level, but I've never been through one like Sally. That thing just parked on top of us and didn't move. I always said I wouldn't leave for anything less than a cat 3. That one changed my mind. Mainly because our house is surrounded by trees...if we were in some former cow pasture subdivision it wouldn't have been nearly as bad. Nothing like watching huge trees swaying back and forth waiting for one to break.

Storm in the Gulf later this week?
I thought you were talking about South Alabama storming into Tiger Stadium this weekend.

I live on Plash Island and that bitch was moving at 2mph.
80k in roof and water damage.
Now a gold fortified roof but I'm not hanging around for another one.

As of right now it looks like the rain will likely be out of there by Saturday unless some things slow down.
I'll take a nice, drenching rain with no lightning against that offense though.

That’s the mean of those model ensembles. Doesn’t mean that’s where the center will ultimately go. Worst of the weather should be gone by the weekend.

Agreed. The models shifted east some. That game might get some rain, but it's on the good side of the storm, so it looks pretty good for all 3 games as of right now.

The issue with Sally wasn't the intensity of the storm, but it just hung around for 12 hours. However, you are 100% correct. ALL storms are dangerous. I had more damage to my house with Sally than any other storm.
