There has always been a clear demarcation between "the old days" (pre-integration), and "the modern era", (post-integration). But a new era began with the first 4 team playoff. "The playoff era", obviously. But what does "the modern era" become when it's over and done?

The NIL era, IMO.

BCS era (98-2013) and playoff era (2014-2023, to me) seem easy. Everything from then on is the wild west with no rules and no enforcement.

I would lump the BCS and 4-team playoff era through 2019 together, as while, yes the playoffs came, the hierarchy and way things were done really didn’t change, there was just one more game at the end of the season. Then came COVID, and that’s where unlimited transfers entered the picture coupled w NIL beginning in 2021 the way teams were organized and built forever changed. It was as cataclysmic as the end of platoon football.

My Sunday thought is…. Maybe adult men should grow up and stop being stoned…. There are more important things to do.

Do you think stoned people are incapable of doing things otherwise?

Absolutely!.

That's asking a lot from many LSU fans (Fans, not Alums) in Louisiana though, that stay drunk and/or high a high percentage of their existence.

We finally got the frick out of there and haven't looked back. The "Quality of Life" here in East Central Florida is supremely superior in every aspect. It's almost like being on another planet with an advanced civilization. We can always go back for a day or two when there a big game we want to witness in person!

I spent my Sunday praising and worshiping God instead of getting stoned. Trust me—the high that comes from being in God’s presence lasts a whole lot longer and leaves no regrets.
