Stolen from Tigah Rant: best arse whoopin your team has given in the past decade?

When I think of real beatings I think of ones that started from the opening kick. 2012 would be a prime example but that was against the worst team in SEC history so I don't know if it even counts.

I barely watched the 2012 Iron Bowl. Saban could have named the score and one more TD and it would have been the largest margin of victory and the worst beating ever leveled in Iron Bowl history. I still can't believe the way that team quit on Chizik that year....

There was almost no honor in that win. I felt the same way I did when I was in the sixth grade and watched a bunch of school yard bullies pushing around a retarded kid.

but that kid later became hc at auburn, so you shouldn't feel so badly about it ...

the game where only one TD was scored?

Yeah. The game where one team only made it about 3 yards past midfield.

Of course, this all happened before Saban left for Texas.

Never let TheDoc live that shite down.

Yeah. The way Saban jumped into McCarron's arms like a prepubescent girl against ND was so....

Oh wait

He said Bama fans. Not Bama players and coaches.

The game was an arse whooping, but we were technically "in" the game until the 4th quarter.

If someone could post Meyer's halftime interview from the 05 Bama game, you would be a god.

I'd say the AU/USC SEC Championship game.

Same thoughts for me besides the 2010 SEC Championship

Eli burning down Scott Field at Jackie Wayne's Farewell Party will always be a favorite of mine.

Keep in mind this was 5 days after the heartbreaker vs LSU - and the Rebs came out and fricked throats.

Honorable mentions are 2008 Texas Tech, 2008 LSU, and 2012 Egg Bowl.

That last-second touchdown pass to kill the first half destroyed the psyche of that team.

2012 UGA was a blast, 2010 Bama was fun, 2012 Mizzou was actually kinda sad, and either of the last couple of Arkansas games were good times, but my favorite was the dismantling of Nebraska in 2011. Pelini is such a bitch.

I made it to I think 14, maybe 21, 0.

Could have scored 100 if he wanted to.

That was about the equivalent.

The silver lining of 2012 is that we were so bad I couldn't even muster up the energy to care.

Another one for AU besides the 2010 SECCG is @UT in 04.

LSU/Canes was my personal favorite. #10 LSU 40 - #9 Canes 3. Then of course it was topped off with Miami getting an arse whipping in the tunnel.

Sorry, but the Bama/LSU game was a beatdown.

-Only shutout in BCS Bowl history.
-15-zip going into the 4th quarter.
-Bama was also a pulled hammy and dropped TD catch from it being it being 25-0 after 3 quarters.
-Yardage heading into the 4th quarter: Bama 326 LSU 64

In the 4th LSU crossed the 50 for the only time of the game on an 18 yard run to the Bama 32. The result?
1st and 10 at ALA 32 Michael Ford rush for a loss of 3 yards to the Alab 35.
2nd and 13 at ALA 35 LSU penalty 5 yard False Start on Chris Faulk accepted.
2nd and 18 at ALA 40 Jordan Jefferson pass incomplete to Spencer Ware.
3rd and 18 at ALA 40 Jordan Jefferson pass incomplete to Jarvis Landry.
4th and 18 at ALA 40 Jordan Jefferson sacked by Dont'a Hightower for a loss of 10 yards, fumbled, forced by Dont'a Hightower, recovered by Alab Nick Gentry at the 50 yard line.

While the score between the LSU and ND games my indicate the ND game was a bigger beatdown, LSU was being talked about as the greatest team of all time, and the majority of people were saying Notre Dame was only in the title game because they were the only undefeated team. Bama was only favored by LSU by 1.5, and the game was in LSU's backyard. Bama was a 10 point favorite over ND.

2008 Cotton Bowl against Arkansas. Mizzou 38-7, and that doesn't do justice to how thoroughly Mizzou dominated the pigs. Arky had McFadden, Felix Jones, and Peyton Hillis. Mizzou's Tony Temple broke the Cotton Bowl rushing record with 281 yards on 24 carries.
