That's not that shocking, considering Arkansas has two teams (Arkansas and State) and Missouri has one (Mizzou). Also, does Alaska even have non-intramural sports?

Missouri has 4 D1 basketball teams. Arkansas has 3 D1 basketball teams.

5

Arkansas
Arkansas State (Sun Belt)
Little Rock (Ohio Valley Conference)
Central Arkansas (ASUN)
UAPB (SWAC)

Little Rock had the best season. Won their league title (shared at 14-4) but lost in their conference tournament.

Fair enough, I pulled up some random generator that was apparently not accurate.

Also amazing is two of those teams are located in the same city - Birmingham. UAB and Samford.

Remember when Legion Field use to say the "Football Capital of the South"?

I find it shocking that Arkansas does not have one school that equates to UAB or Samford University.

Did you really pull Lindenwood as a D-1 school in MO off the top of your head or did you look it up? You live in MO?

Impossible for them to have a team.

California only has 3 of 24 teams in. That’s rough.
