High School FB participants 2008 to 2019
Read my statement till it finally clicks for you:
quote:
For the third time, no one records how many participants there are playing high school football in a given state in a given year.
Also, I love how you're whining about the graph going from 2002 and then you post random statistics from 2008 to 2019.

And AGAIN, you're cherry picking various years when someone compiled statistics while completely ignoring the fact that no one records or verifies said statistics on a regular basis.

Did you read the link or PDF?It's exactly what the NFHS does on yearly basis. What exactly was being cherry picked?

Your PDF you keep touting is a survey thus only based on schools that actually report their numbers.
This really isn't that hard to understand.
AGAIN, there is NO ONE who records participation in high school sports ACCURATELY or CONSISTENTLY.

What? Move the goal post much?
Didn't you just say this:
quote:and this:
no one records or verifies said statistics on a regular basis.
quote:
no one records how many participants there are playing high school football in a given state in a given year
It's exactly what the NFHS does.
Now it's changed to this:
quote:
NO ONE who records participation in high school sports ACCURATELY or CONSISTENTLY
I said early on that the survey isn't entirely accurate BUT it's a far better metric than extrapolating a silly "per capita"number from the ENTIRE population pool of the state.

It’s better than what I would have expected for Arkansas, I guess 3 stars pan out pretty good over the long haul.
