Your offense is good. curious to see you go up against SEC competition the next two weeks to see if Kamario Taylor is as good as he has looked through two weeks.

All of the attention and oxygen in the room is assigned to LSU- Ole Miss, and I understand why.
But SC v State is a sneaky great game. State looks very good. SC's defense looks stout. Stewart is expected to play, and Sellers has looked great in one game, and pedestrian in another. Overall, I like SC's offense so far, in that the running game looks better than it ever has.
Have no idea how to predict this game. I expect it to be a damn good one, though. Also, was anyone else unaware that Lebby is married to Kendall Briles' sister?

Kamario is a great talent but to me equally important for State has been that the OL looks miles better than it did last year.
But it does help to have a cheat code at QB on 3rd and short or 3rd and medium when you need a timely scramble. It’s a step up from the last 5 years with Blake Shapen and Will Rogers where if any pass rush whatsoever came those guys would just dissolve into a puddle.

With adjusted expectations, what would be considered a successful season in Starkville? There’s 4 top 10 opponents remaining on the schedule so I imagine an 8-4 record with a winning conference record would have everyone ecstatic.
I don’t see any reason they can’t beat OU, Mizzou, Vandy and Auburn at home if yall win at USCe this weekend

A vulnerable secondary against a good QB and mistakes on offense. I agree our defense is good, but if our offense plays like we did against Towson we will get run out of the stadium. We saw it last year where our defense held the line for a time until the 3 and outs from our offense basically tired them out.

I think most expected 6 or 7 wins before the year. Probably would mean a 3-1 or 4-0 September and then you beat Vandy, Auburn, and the FCS school at home in November.
That probably still needs to be the benchmark but you’re definitely seeing more 8-4 talk with teams like Oklahoma and Ole Miss possibly seeming like more winnable games than initially thought.
I think it’s really important that they at least split the SC and Mizzou games though. Lose both and you’re staring down a 2-6 or 3-5 start and the Lebby hot seat talk kicks back up.

If Miss St beats a top half SEC team, then I will consider them a threat. Until that, you just never know if it's a fluke game.

I don't know if beating Ole Miss would be considered much of an upset by the time Thanksgiving rolls around.
