Seriously you won’t find anyone more underwhelmed by the Mullen hire. He’s a product of good scheduling at State. It is what it is.

Maybe Florida will learn how to "strain"
Florida fans will learn to strain...they'll be straining when he's running his QB up the tackle's butt on 3rd and 4 against UGA.

They're like a woman scorned right now in starkvegas. Anybody would have done the same thing if they were in his position. It's just common sense.
And to the poster that said Stark Vegas>Oxford...what the frick re you smoking? Ole miss is a betree school, better college town, and a better football program than state is. It's really not even close.

First, Mullen targets MSU recruits, and yields none, meanwhile, he loses his own pledges while receiving an onslaught of gator nation criticism
He also lazily brought a pretty average assistant coaches crew with him, minus Grantham who was pretty good, instead of going after top notch coordinators. I'm so glad to be rid of Hevesy.

It’s kind of like Meyer and UF. A lot of us bashed him when he left, but we’d take him back in a heartbeat.

By the way his 2 wins vs ranked teams I believe were against Aubrun and LSU early in the year when Dak caught everyone by surprise and those 2 teams were awful that year. He later went on to beat a bad T am team as well.
His wins against ranked teams at the time of playing was ole miss 2009, Florida 2010, #8 LSU, #6 A&M, #2 Auburn in 2014, #4 A&M 2016, LSU this year and A&M this year. I can't remember which teams finished ranked though. I know OM did in 2009 and I think AU did in 2014. LSU will this year.

you've never been to either oxfords nor Starkville. Your parents won't even let you leave the house without their permission.
Turning on Mullen? I think he will win at UF and win big. He did wonders for our program but he's also not at my school anymore. Rebs fans were all fine and good when pinebox left for Auburn? LSU fans are real happy for Saban at Bama? I'm still suppose to cheer for him at Florida?

I would respectfully disagree. His best years at State came at a time the West was far and away the best conference in the country. I think he is a very good coach that will do very well at Florida. People don't like him because he isn't the sexy, flavor of the month, hot coaching name.
I also think MState got them a homerun hire and will do well with their new coach. It will be a win/win for both programs.

Maybe because he is actively recruiting State commits..

It's not MSU fans turning on Mullen. He's gone. Good luck to him.
But get used to these kind of posts, Gator fan:

I appreciate what Mullen accomplished while he was at State. He stayed for 9 seasons and improved the program in the process.

uhh..he lost 3 of the last 4 to Ole Miss, and if not for a strip of the ball as Bo Wallace was crossing the goal line, if would be 5 of the last 6.
Well if your going play that card then if it wasn't for your paid, hired, compensated goon going gangsta on Fitz's ankle then we would have another win that you would have been forced to forfeit. Have you read the post that says all players are leaving your shithole program? You better start combing the high schools in oxford and Batesville and just hope you can fill a roster. Good luck rebuilding a joke of program with the NCAA watching your every move.
