If you pay them they will come. If you want a coach to leave his current program offer him a shite ton of money. Make him the highest paid baseball coach ever, he'll leave. If the Cowboys offered Saban 25 million a year, Bama would match it or he would be gone.

Im  gonna say miss st will shoot for the moon and get let down with a Calvi type...a very good coach but the uninformed fanbase will shite on the hire

Much like many SC fans did on the Kingston hire.

If South Carolina couldnt pull these guys no way in hell MSU does. MSU a great program but isnt in a hotbed for recruiting and has nowhere near the history of South Carolina.

Calvi comin....

I have no problem with a Godwin or a Calvi, but when your AD pops off at the mouth he needs to do what he says. Otherwise, it will piss off most of the uniformed fanbase, and this is happening.

But no one cares about baseball, so the only place you hear about it is on the rant.

It's not like the UT football search with regards to coverage.

I approve of this troll.

In all seriousness, big name coaches like those listed just use this as leverage in their current situations. We had the same thing happen to us and got a great coach out of it. Kingston has now taken 3 different teams to Regionals in year one and got a steal of a pitching coach in Skylar Meade .

Well I haven't seen our students spray painting their thoughts on campus, so gonna say no.

Of course I remember it, just not sure where you were going with it on relevance to prior topics.

I was messing with a poster about how rare it is to get a big name to flip schools/usually only happens with unique circumstances and or money whip

State's fanbase falsely accused someone of aiding a child molester? Missed that.

I'm in the group that says we don't get a big name but I think Cohen has his guy. I don't think we offered Godwin.

Sunny Golloway went from Oklahoma to AU. In fact I think he's available if MSU wants him

Sucks that we had to tell Schloss and McDonnell no after they got eliminated.

It's down to Thompson and Tadlock now. Hope they know they are playing for the gig of a lifetime.

Sunny Golloway was the biggest a-hole in baseball. I bet OU was happy to see him go.

Tadlock makes like $700K a year. Throw $1.7M at him and make him say no. Probably will, then go get an assistant/ mid-major coach.

Have to see if he can handle it.

Some people can't handle following Gary Henderson. Look at Mingione. Total collapse.

If MSU goes the assistant route they shouldn't have to leave Starkville for that search.

If mid-major, I'd look at the tenn tech coach.

Tadlock isn't going anywhere.

What makes you think State is going to pay 1.7 M a year for a coach? Wasn't Andy making like 500k a year?

Cohen said, "This position WILL PAY TOP OF THE SCALE." So either we will offer at least $1.5M or Cohen flat out lied to our fan base.Cann made around $533K because he was a first time head coach. Tadlock has multiple CWS appearances at Texas Tech. He is proven.
