Unrelated to the play, why did the Rangers ruin such a pretty field for some poorly lit carpet.

I understand. Texas baseball in the summer in miserable in the heat. But the beautiful grass for a rubber field is always a downgrade.

My son and I went in the summer of 2016 in the first week of July, and it was hot as balls. We were both soaked in sweat, and I'm not a profuse sweater at all. Like 115 heat index with an actual temp of 98. I'm from east central MS and love baseball, so the heat doesn't bother me, but I can see it keeping casual fans, and/or those who lay up in the AC away.
