Back in the Rivals Mainboard days Auburn fans would claim (insert literally any qb on their team) was the next Cam Newton, about as often as Urban Meyer used to tell recruits they were going to be the next Percy Harvin. I remember Kiehl Frazier was going to catch the world on fire, i swear i think some people were saying he was better than Cam.

Frazier has offers from a ton of schools, just didn’t have the intangibles.

For as many really good QB's weve had, Cam (obviously) Nick Marshall, Stidham, we've had as many shitty starting quarterbacks as anybody else in the country. Kheil Frazier, Jeremy Johnson, Clint Moseley, Barrett Trotter... guys who had no business in a college football roster let alone a P5 roster. The good news is, I think Gus has four on the roster that are at least better than any of those guys. The ceiling remains to be seen, but the floor is not nearly as low as it was.

Most AU fans weren't even hyping up Cam.
JJ was really the only universally hyped AU QB in recent years
