Will be overseas for the LSU/Ole Miss game and looking for a place to watch the game. Kickoff is at 1:30a local time.

The only place that I can find open that late that seems to show U.S. sports is The Scholars Lounge Irish Pub. Open until 3:30a so I can at least get the first half of the game. Has anyone been here?

Backup plan is just to stream it on my laptop at the hotel using a VPN.

EDIT: Scholars Lounge will have the game on.

Good luck. Many steaming services from tUSA blackout games over here.

I had to use 4 seperate youtube channels(1 for each quarter) to watch both LSU/Clemson and LSU/LaTech.

So you are traveling to Italy and wanting to watch an American football game at an Irish bar.

I am guessing you have never heard of the saying, "When in Rome..."

I'm hoping with a VPN my YouTube TV will work without issues.

Apparently this is the place to watch American sports. Going for a wedding and booked the trip before the game was announced.

You will most likely do what I have been doing. Just look for the Asian named channels on youtube. You can get at least a quarter out of it. Once the quarter is over, back out and find another. You will also have to try a few to get one with commentary. I watched the Bama/UK game listening to nothing but the in stadium noises.

Good luck with the VPN.

Been a while since I needed to do this, and things have changed a lot, but many of the streamers had ways to detect and block those IP’s when I used to try it.

Yeah, my work laptop has a VPN (It always thinks I'm in Chicago) but it hasn't worked when traveling out of the country.

If I have to watch this thing via gamecast on the ESPN app I might go insane.

Oh, the streets of Rome are filled with rubble
Ancient footprints are everywhere
You could almost think that you're seeing double
On a cold, dark night on the Spanish Stairs

Gotta hurry on back to my hotel room
Where I got me a date with a pretty little girl from Greece
She promised she'd be there with me
When I paint my masterpiece

No. I looked at going there to watch the Auburn-Georgia game two years ago when I was in Rome for the Ryder Cup.... but our dinner ran long and I decided to just try to watch the second half from the hotel.

To be honest I've had some pretty bad luck watching CFB in Europe. I trecked 10 miles away from where I was staying in Dublin last season to watch CFB at a bar that supposedly aired several games.... only to walk into an absolutely packed sports bar in which every TV was airing soccer and I realized if I asked a bartender to change any of the tv's to American football, I might not make it out alive. So I left.

I pay verizon for an overseas pass, which is a mobile roaming agreement with local cell carriers in countries where you are traveling. And set my alarm to wake up and watch on my phone with Directv app. I figured paying a little extra to avoid hotel/bar networks was worth it.

The app isn't blocked out for streaming? My parents may have DirecTV so maybe I can use that. I have the AT&T International plan so I'll have cell service.

I heard it may or may not work. But it worked for me in Israel last fall. I use it quite often. If you are going to use your parents and try to hookup for first time already overseas it may cause a problem. I would try using it stateside a few times first so it recognizes your phone.

I was in Rome during the LSU CWS run last year and had no problem getting a youtube/stream. No VPN.
