Reach out to the Alumni Association - good chance there is a LSU or Ole Miss "bar" in Rome. I will just about guarantee there is a group of LSU alumni in Rome and some if not all of them will know where to watch the game. Or Ole Miss. I watched the LSU/Ohio State Natty Game in a bar in London and had a blast. About 100 mixed LSU / Buckeye fans and me LOL. It was a blast.
I did this with the UGA alumni association (I am not a UGA alumni but they don't care if all your asking about is where to watch a game - they will be glad to have you) when I lived in Europe and there were UGA alumni watch parties every week in just about every capital and in some smaller cities. Those watch parties are some of my favorite UGA games - the locals would have a BLAST buying drinks and joining in the fun, even though they had no idea what was going on. I have done it in Mexico, the Caribbean and all over the US - its always been fun.
It would be a minor miracle if there isn't a sizeable contingent of LSU alumni in Rome. Not only watch the game but have a story and probably meet some damn good friends. And don't get too hung up on it being just an LSU group...if it is Ole Miss / LSU they will be glad to have you join. And the bar will be glad to have another paying customer. If there isn't a LSU/Ole Miss group there is certainly a SEC group somewhere in a bar in Rome.....

One other thing - the time difference probably won't matter - if local alumni and fans frequent the place they will most likely stay open, even if they close to the public at a certain time they will most likely continue to serve if there are enough people there.

I was in Rome during the LSU-Clemson game. The place I was at didn’t have traditional ESPN programming and had to watch on my phone since we didn’t travel with a laptop
On the plus side if you have a cable subscription can confirm was able to stream the game via DIRECTV app no problem

I live in Europe. I can usually catch the games on YT or thetvapp.

May not be an issue. Rome and Italy are a little more "conservative" than most of Europe but if it is a bar that caters to local expats who frequently gather to watch games they may close to the public but continue to serve that group until they leave. I don't recall ever doing so in Italy but I have been in bars in London, Berlin. Frankfurt, Munich and Prague that did this. All of those are slightly more "open" than Italy is but I doubt if Rome is any different.

Best of luck. Sounds like DirecTV app may be the move here. YouTube TV has been blocked whenever I travel out of the country.
if I have to resort to streaming it I'll probably go watch in the hotel lobby. My wife doesn't want to listen to me scream at the TV at 2am.

There’s an open air bar on the Tiber near Castel St Angelo. It’s down the steps from the bridge directly on the river walk. They showed the World Cup games on the walls.
Not sure if they’d show the LSU game - but if nothing else is on, you can’t beat the atmosphere.

Stopped by the Scholars Lounge tonight and they confirmed that they will have the game on!
