Some of the older guys here may remember Brian Steger. Played some at Bama his freshman year then Stallings kicked him off. Had a good game off the bench against LSU. He didn't like class and he liked pot.
Anyway, he ran my arse completely over the third play of the game and I had almost perfect form on the attempted tackle, too. It was reminiscent of Herschel Walker running over Bill Bates.
He was also the punter, and the only time we forced them to punt, he dropped the snap and ran 80 yards. He was so big and fast.

Shawn Marion
His athleticism was just sick for High School.

Torrin Harris who went to USC
Played against him when he played for Palo Verde High School out here in Vegas. I played for Legacy. Dude was a lightning in a bottle on offense.

Stevan Ridley. He kicked our arse from 4th grade pee wee all the way through til he graduated.

Deandre Green. He was so fast we had to put our running back at DB to keep up with him. He told one of our DBs the route he was going to run and he still scored a TD. Blount (the #3 team in the nation at the time) rushed for 54 yards that game and beat us 49-7.
also played against Demarco McNeil (Blount High School)
and Jeff Kelly, but the funny thing about Jeff Kelly is in high school he never handed off everything was a shovel pass to run up his passing stats.

Fred Rouse, Deandre McDaniel, Roy Upchurch, Melvin Ray were all beasts. Upchurch was unstoppable. Tallahassee produced some monsters.

Bo, but it was in pick up basketball, and he wasn't very good.
So I guess it was really Chuck Persons.

Did he play for Ryle High School in Union?
If that was the big high school from there that played in the playoffs against Brohm, yeah. I just know he played for a high school in Union, Kentucky. Always assumed it was Union High School or something like that.
ETA: Just checked and yeah, that's where he played.

Initials RF? If so, I was his center. Small world.
ETA: RF was injured if I remember right. CT would have been one of our back ups and he went to Ole Miss I think. Not sure if he played in that game or not but definitely would have been there.

Doubled off Jake Peavy in high school. Played left field and watched Terrance Parrish who played for Souther Miss homer left handed and right handed in consecutive abs.

Dameyune Craig torched us in the first round of the Alabama 5A state play offs. I don't think he even had to wash his uniform after that game.
