Did you play at Arab or DAR, I don't remember any other teams that played a 1-3-1 in those days

DAR

Played many a game against Arab in basketball and baseball. Graduated the same year as Mark Wisener.

Eddie Lacy gave me a concussion my senior year. I swear he was the same size his freshman year through senior year and wrecked us all four years. Only beat my team once though

Donte Hightower as a running back. I was a safety. I only recently stopped eating through a tube.

I played Blake Bortles 3 years. He was alright in high school. Nothing too special, just another consistent QB that was big.

I solo tackled Andre Debose for a loss his senior year. I consider that one of my life's highlights

Debose and Ray Ray Armstrong were by far the 2 best players I ever faced. And they were on the same team.

I had no idea Markakis went to Young Harris. Yeah, both Frenchie and Heyward are good guys from everything I've seen and heard

Yeah. I went up and saw them play a couple of times. Markakis got into trouble one day at practice and the coach told him to take some laps around the field. There were a lot of advertisement signs around the outfield fence. Markakis would run around the field, then when he got to the outfield you could see under the signs and he would walk...you could see his feet slow way down to a walk.

I THINK my nephew roomed with him....but I would have to double check to make sure.

I threw shotput against him when he was a freshman and I was an 8th grader...he beat me by about 25 feet.

Also played football against him. Not fun being a 170 pound LB those nights. Centreville ruined his knees for life.

Basketball had to be J R Reid at the old King Cotton Tournament. I was on the bench thankfully.

Derek Sherrod knocked me on my arse when I was trying to block a extra point.

I caught a 60 yard TD pass on Jamerson Love my senior year (08).

Never really played against anybody better than them or anybody with success anyways.
