I don't understand where this is coming from. Because Alabama isn't dominating every opponent every week anymore? That cannot last. With NIL and transfer portal, it's going to be impossible to maintain that kind of standard. But Saban has adapted just fine to every change in college football.

Look, I've watch people talk that Saban can't compete with Urban. Urban basically gets dominated. Same thing with Dabo & Clemson takes a step back. Now its Saban vs Kirby. Saban is still 4 wins and 1 loss against a Georgia team led by Smart.

The only thing stopping Saban is his age. I'll feel differently if he wasn't recruiting lights out every year.

Recruiting isn't the problem, it's his ability to get the right assistants to lead to victory against top teams.

I agree with Dawgfan. Saban wants one more championship; I think that he wants to accomplish in three years.

Speculating on Saban's Future

On a random Thursday night at 10:22 pm, your brain was pondering Nick Saban's future.

Is there any doubt the man is the GOAT?

I didn't say Saban isn't a great coach and he deserves all the success he's had, but recent statements about players and the transfer portal indicate he hates the way CFB is heading. Don't we all?

If he walked out tomorrow his legacy is complete, he has really nothing to prove, Saban likely ran off Urban Meyer, but he has also attracted some good coaches, BK for one, who want to be the new sheriff in town.

“When he went to Miami I knew he would not last in the NFL, those guys are professionals, they made as much money as he did, they would not put up with being belittled and yelled at, his method of coaching was not conducive to the NFL. “

Bill Parcells, Tom Coughlin and Bill Belechick say hang on a minute.
Saban didn’t get run out of Miami. They offered him the world to stay. He took a substantial pay cut to go to Bama. People have this view that the dolphins wanted him out and NOTHING could be further from the truth. Everyone from Larry Csonka to Don Shula pleaded with him to stay.
Saban had a team this past year that just wasn’t very well coached. His coordinators are horrible and no one will take them off his hands. He hates to can someone without having another job for them but as they were discussing on touchdown Alabama yesterday, Saban is probably gonna have to just do it and wish them luck. Jeremy Pruitt is the name right now for DC but no one is sure about what his show cause might be. Until saban gets his coordinators straight Bama will continue to be sub par. That’s where his problems are.

but I can see factors that indicate he has had enough.

Factors like a #1 recruiting class and another one started?
