like that Mullen apparently didn’t change the package for him.

Me too very surprising, hopefully he takes a leap and makes himself they guy next year. Trask arm strength and pocket awareness are gonna cost us football games and Franks just isn’t the guy.

Franks is 6’6, a mobile 240 and has a cannon for an arm. Those are things that can’t be developed.

Asking an honest question. Who is the more accurate passer? Because if it’s Trask (even if he doesn’t have the physical attributes as Franks) then he’s the guy that has the higher ceiling as far as NFL talent. Franks could look like Cam Newton physically but if he can’t piss in the lake from a row boat, he’s not going to have much of an NFL career. Accuracy also can’t be taught.

Mullens said they were both equal after fall camp last year. I have no idea why he went with Franks. FF May have a stronger arm, but that’s not really Mullens’ offense.

Trash has a much calmer presence on the field, doesn’t do stupid ‘look at me’ shite like Franks. I don’t see Franks starting another game for Florida, tbh. Portal city, baby.

Accuracy can definitely be improved on. You can’t improve your height and athleticism can only be maximized rather than improved.

Trask has proven to be more decisive and quicker with his reads than Franks to this point. I would say accuracy is a push between the two. Accuracy wasn’t Franks’s problem so much as indecisiveness, holding onto the ball too long, scrambling when it wasn’t necessary, and not making the right reads.

Trask simply is a better gamer. He doesnt get rattled like Franks and clearly understands the offense more.

This is it. No bugs in his head.

Emory has the highest upsides of all the QBs just needs some more time to develop

Trask at least is quick with his decision making and is accurate when given time. He throws a nice ball. He does need to improve his pressure awareness in the pocket.

Frank’s is way too indecisive and erratic. He may have the physical tools but he lacks everywhere else.

Florida got better with trask as the starter. I like what I’ve seen from Emory as well

Honestly, it blows my mind Mullen chose Trask over Franks. We'd be so much better this year if Trask had a year of starts under his belt. Our o-line would still suck so we wouldn't be title contenders but I'd feel a lot better about our season.

Mullen obviously is a good coach but I don't understand some of his decisions sometimes. Like why did he run an injured Trask multiple times when we only have two QBs left on our roster?

I’m not sure much is in his head at all have you heard him speak? I know he’s a teenager thrown into the spot light but he sounds border line retarded.

To play devils advocate. I don't know what goes on in practice. Some kids practice like all stars, others don't look that great in them. As a coach, if a kid isn't looking very good in practice, you are hard pressed to want to put them in the game. Not saying that is what happened though.

I think Mullen ran with Franks because he has a big arm, his physical tools and his running ability. I definitely think Franks got better but he is still way too erratic and was a liability for Florida. I hate to see the kid injured as I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I think Florida's outlook for the rest of the season and even next year are much better with Trask/Emory running the show. Trask has looked good so far as I have said, he needs to improve on his awareness in the pocket mainly which his lack of game experience has shown. Outside of that he is decisive with his decisions and gets the ball to his weapons. He is doing it with a line that hasn't been able to help him out with the run game.

Mullen was hoping Franks would take a big step forward this year. He didn't. Franks was also the unquestioned leader of the team. He comes off like a douche and opposing fans hate him, but if you watched the HBO 24/7 thing and how his teammates talk about him in general, you can tell they love the guy.

Trask has done a great job injecting life into the passing game but he's made his far share of mistakes, they just haven't been as untimely as Franks were (or the defense has bailed him out). Trask has like 7 turnovers in 3 1/2 games. He just gets a pass because of his lack of experience and that he's not Franks.

No one is salivating over Franks for any reason whatsoever.

Many players can throw it far and hard, the reason scouts "salivate" are when you can throw it far and hard and actually look like a QB.

Franks has rarely looked like a QB.

Franks started because he was the leader in the locker room and Trask is more reserved. Franks is 50 X the runner that Trask is and unfortunately he was pushed into starting as the QB in 2017 way way too skinny and a lot of fans begrudge him because of the 4-7 season that year.

I will support whoever the coaches decide to ride with. If anyone knows Franks...he loves UF and the same goes for Trask and that's one reason Trask stuck it out. College life can be a lot of fun...either QB has ever been involved with anything illegal and are a credit to the school. The team absolutely loves Franks.

Straws has been shiteing on him for almost 3 yrs now because he wanted Trask. No one and I mean no one knows what the future holds and Im sure there will be competition in the spring. Franks is emotional and if some of you got the hate he received for the past few years you might lash back too. He shouldn't have, but these are young kids.

Straws is dead wrong about his pro prospects...just like he has been predicting Franks transferring for several years because we recruited a hot shot recruit...only problem was the recruit was a sexual deviant.

Franks is strong , could run and has a gun for a arm. Trask is better at reading defenses and accuracy. They both are not afraid to turn the ball over.

If Franks payed against AUB, it's quite possible UF would have won by a bigger margin. Trask had 3 fumbles.
