This is Clemson's Xavier Thomas. How does a 17 year old kid with a father in prison for half his life have a whole lotta money and that vehicle? The con man has conned your own fanbase into thinking that your program is kissed by Jesus and more moral than all the rest.

Most of the Scar posts in this thread are whining about Clemson instead of your own school or the other SEC teams in your conference -just saying

Perhaps - but a lots of young people take out loans for cars that are beyond their means - pretty sure XT will be able to pay it off in a couple of years when he’s a first round draft pick.

He’s a sure fire NFL pick - you don’t think he can get a car loan? Jesus - have you ever bought a car? They’ll give out loans to anyone.

Especially when it's a tater FB player and the owner of the car lot is a booster.
ETA: And I'm certain this vehicle DID come "without the fees."

I’ll take the high road here - doesn’t seem like a major program-wide infraction here. can happen to any program. Tough break for SCar.
Clemson probably turned Thompson in.

Lol you are a Clemson fan on a SEC message board commenting on a thread about the Gamecocks. You are obsessed.

Shame all programs aren't as clean as Bama

Banks don't lend money on potential. What happens if he has a career ending injury while still in college?

You don't actually believe this, do you?
You could have just said he had a co-signer, but this is the route you took. Wow.

You are such a troll Carolina Girl. You know the back story behind this non story picture with Tee Higgins. That was a whole lot of nothing.
Love this thread... SEC fans post about UofSC getting slapped on the wrist for recruiting violations. UofSC fans proceed to sh*tpost about Clemson and then get mad when Clemson fans show up to respond.

What about the f150 he crashed?
Remember all this happen when he was at a $70k per year private school. At the time his dad was and had been in federal prison for 15 yeats on a Coke dealing charge. The family business had less than $100k in revenue based on State of SC tax returns. That information is available on the SC dept of revenue website and I've seen it.
Funny what people can come up with based on publicly available information, but the NCAA turns a blind eye

I had to go to one of those dumbass things and they are all "need blind" which means he went for free. I get it, he plays for Clemson and we all want to pile on, but a few cars and getting to drink for free underage at the spots? come on man even Vandy did that, I saw it first hand when I was there

Nothing new here. South Carolina has been put on probation under each of their last 3 head coaches.
And of course when they are caught all they want to do is point the finger at Clemson.
It really must suck to be a dirtpecker.

holy moly, I apologize then. things are different up in New England. I do still stand by my point that this seems very routine. when uncles start getting 80k a year no-show jobs is where I like to draw the line

I mean, considering it involved a Clemson recruit, Clemson probably turned Lance Thompson into the NCAA.
It isn't far-fetched.
