I’ve never understood why people put any stock in what happened in games last year or 10 years ago but, since that seems to be an indication for you, Georgia owns a 50-18 record vs USCe. I feel better.

Because it’s more relevant. Talking about a game from 1940 isn’t

Most relevant would then be the last 2 games...yes?

Yes you have and that is why I am nervous about the game. I think we can win, probably should win, but WB has not been a friendly place for us over the years.

quote:this series changed in Vince's final year - a loss in Columbia. since that game - USC 11 wins, UGA 17 wins. the current 3-game trend for UGA was a much needed swing for the dawgs.

When was USCe’s last national championship?
Posted on 9/5/18 at 4:57 pm to Dawgy49
2015-17 (the current players on roster) are 0-3 against the dawgs
will muschamp (the current coach) is 1-5 against the dawgs

Can we pull this off? Absolutely. Will we pull this off? Eh, not so sure about that.
Offense: McClendon did a good job calling the second half of the bowl game against Michigan and the first regular season game against Coastal, but it remains to be seen how the offensive game plan can perform against a sturdy defense. The interior line is as good as it's been in a while, so hopefully the offense can actually establish a ground game this season. I believe the ability to consistently run the ball will be the key on offense (only ran for 43 yards last season) so that the secondary can loosen up for our talented wide receivers and tight ends.
Defense: The losses of Taylor Stallworth, Dante Sawyer, and Skai Moore worry me for the defense's ability to stop the inevitable run-heavy offense of Georgia. Add in the fact that 3 new starters in the secondary are still being broken in, one of the top 5 DB's is suspended for the first half, and the best pass-rusher (DJ Wonnum) might be slowed by an ankle injury sustained against Coastal and I believe Georgia will score 31+ without question.
Bottom Line: I hate Georgia and want to believe that USC will win this game, but there are several crucial question marks on offense and defense that make it hard for me to have much confidence. That being said, Williams-Brice will be rocking and the defending SEC champs have a target on their back so the players will be extra motivated, anything can happen.
Score prediction: 34-24 UGA

Y'all make up your minds. Is the past relevant or not?

my stats are more relevant

These are two very evenly matched teams. I like the home team when teams are similarly talented.
Probably a slight edge to Carolina on the coaching side of things.

Depends...do you think losing by double digits 3 straight games to UGA is a factor?
Especially, since our no one on our team has lost to USCe

Agreed. While Muschamp won the conference and got a playoff win in his second year, Kirby flamed out at UF...oh wait.

Lol!! Nice try. These teams are evenly matched, just check the Vegas lines and what offense UGA has along with the sick defense.
They will need pure luck and there ain’t no Richt any longer.

We can definitely pull it off. However Bentley has struggled in big games and Muschamp hasn't proven he can win these types of games yet so I have my doubts. Hoping for a good game regardless of the outcome.

South Carolina will hang for a half, then fold. Georgia is too good.
