If South Carolina can be balanced on offense and if their defense can prevent Georgia getting 200+ yards rushing...I think they will have a decent shot.

Good/great defense....check
Good special teams.....check
huge plus turnover ratio.....check
Close wins vs. shitty teams (Mizzou, La. Lafayette)....check 2017 SC barely beat UT, UF and La. Tech)

the implication of the statement is that nobody who had any impact on the outcomes of that game still remains for either program

Your whole premise (3 of the last 4) ignores the fact that Georgia had a coaching change and that things have changed since SCAR won 3 in a row vs. Georgia at home.

That's how. Obvious answer is obvious.
