Muschamps second year at UF he went 5-2 vs ranked teams. If a playoff was going on, he would have been in them. His second year Florida faced a top five schedule and went 11-1 and the loss was a fumble inside the ten.

Smart had a significantly weaker schedule, and got handedly beaten by Auburn in the loss he had.

Muschamps second year is very comparable. In fact. He beat better teams overall with a far more brutal regular season schedule.

Just saying..Champ had a brilliant second year.

Good example of using statistics to tell a lie. South Carolina has not beaten Georgia under Kirby Smart.

If USC starts off hot and gets the crowd into the game I think they can run with any team in the country this year.

I give them a 40% chance of pulling it off. I know that doesn't sound very good but against a team that played in the national title game that is pretty darn good.

It’s debateable that UF would’ve been picked over UGA that year since UGA beat UF and came within 5 yards of beating bama. Kirby also had a top 10 offense that Muschamp has never had along with #1 ranked recruiting class. No matter how you compare it, kirby’s second year was better.

If UGA wins this, there’s a good chance they will head to the SECCG with 12 wins and Tennessee losses.

Decent chance, but Auburn is a serious threat and LSU has shown, at least from one game, that they have a defense that can keep them in the game. I do think UGA takes a step back this year, I just think it’ll be an SEC west team that shows it.

Please, Sherlock, show me where I lied or where I even mentioned Kirby? I believe I'm aware of the record but thank you for making sure. Your effort is appreciated.

He did. No question.

His downfall was the inability to ever develop a QB that could at the very least play to a minimum level of competence. That's obviously not a problem for Smart.

Georgia by 16 or more. 2 well coached football teams, one with studs on top of studs and the other a middle of the SEC type talent level. Strange things happen but Dawgs are alerted so expect the expected.

Of course not. Why would anyone ever think fans of a good team would be able to win and think their team could win their next game.

I don't have any problems with SC fans thinking they'll win. It's just funny to me watching them build up average players to be All Americans and downplaying guys from the other side who have shown immense talent.

"two very evenly matched teams. I like the home team when teams are similarly talented."

So you taking LSU @ home vs Bama?

Will be interesting to see if after this year if the rivals finally see it that way. That's why this season may be just as fun as last year. Love the doubts.

We've got a puncher's chance.

Our boys are gonna need our crowd at their backs. That'll be the difference in the game ... and, of course, as everyone is saying this week, whoever flinches first loses. I prefer to think that whoever handles adversity and weathers the punches wins.

Florida was a real deal paper tiger in 2012. With a terrible offense, Not close to the complete team uga 2017 was.
