Wrong, they were both successful college coaches before the nfl.

As we should. This is one of the most tone deaf shitty hires I’ve ever seen. Beamer seriously thought the worst NFL Playcaller was his #1 guy

It’s not like Beamer or UofSC is a Mecca for college football.

Are Arkansas football coaches jumping ship now? What's going on?

You don't know much about Arkansas's history with coaches do you? Especially assistants from Arkansas. He most likely will be the next in line of great coaches with Arkansas ties despite lack of results so far. If we kept him, he'd suck. They all seem to thrive elsewhere though. Then he'll face us someday and drop 60+ on us.

He is a good recruiter but I don't know... I mean he's got some real studs to commit to Arkansas but our TE play has been less than stellar.

I am not sure he's the guy to turn around USC in terms of their play calling unless this is a "he's here to recruit and Beamer will call the plays" situation.

I say that is good for both teams. This is a win-win situation for both teams.

Maybe he has mellowed as he aged.

He went DGAF during his return trip to Louisville. Their fans we're actually pissed he wasn't the same a-hole he used to be

How much of Bobby is a changed man is media hype I have no idea but his post game press conferences at Louisville were lifeless.

Does Beamer even rely on the OC to call plays?

His recruiting ability aside... you might very well be right.

Yes, 10 years ago. His offense has only cracked the Top 50 in 3 out of his last 9 years, and 2 of those have been with Lamar Jackson.

Isn't that what Jimbo Fisher offense has been? His offense has been similar with Jameis Winston and without him over the years.

Offensive juggernaut right now with Heupels OC getting a HC gig and seeing nothing to indicate Heupel will make a rushed settle hire like UofSC has done repeatedly.

Lamar put up close to 5k yards his Heisman year. We haven’t had a guy put up those type of yards since Johnny. The hope is Petrino can be given a bunch of talent and make it happen. Reviews are mixed if he can. Everything indicates Bobby, if he’s the hire, would call plays going forward.

I haven’t checked that site since this morning. Remembered skimming Baylor-Arkansas-Ron or Rob something, but didn’t see a thread here. It’s pretty cool site for coaching updates.
