Those onions need to be a little crispier.

The food and people were always good in Norman & OKC. It's been over a decade, but the Roy Rodgers Airport is as quick n easy of an airport you'll ever come across..or was. The onion burgers are great..some say a dish..not sure what it was called..but basically biscuits & chocolate gravy..very tasty...the thing I remember most was from a couple from Edmond...was a Cowboy Queso, with beer bread sticks instead of nachos...that is the recipe I recommend and would look up...it might seem like "too much" taste or richness..but it is delicious.

Hell yeah. Planning to visit family there. I've had Indian tacos and fry bread, love tf out of them but next time, I will check out the onion burgers

Mississippi pot roast is absolutely amazing. Hard to go back to any other style once you've had it. Also, onion burgers..... A beautiful thing!!

One often under appreciated Okie tailgate appetizer is a roadkill armadillo that has been carefully cleaned of all its innards and bones, then the empty inside of carcass shell is toasted over a wood fire of mesquite and then filled with either guacamole or queso cheese sauce/dip. Occasionally you'll see a divider placed down the middle of the shell and it will be filled with both guacamole and quest.......yummy.

LINK Kendalls in noble,ok. Just south of Norman. For a chicken fried steak.
Wanted to mention that Kendall's is a quick ten minute drive straight south of the OU campus...and the chicken fry is big time famous...
So if you want chicken fry you should zip down there and try one of those monster chicken fries...
However... if chicken fry is not your thing. Right across the street is a place called Tiffany's... which has incredible breakfasts. Huge portions for really reasonable prices.
They have all kinds of things on the menu and it is all really good.

They've also got a great steakhouse in town.

Good people.
OU was always the best road trip back in the Big 12 days. They were the only school besides A&M that actually had a great tailgating game day atmosphere to enjoy. Good folks and a good time.
