Something better to do during College Basketball & Baseball seasons

If you're not a dedicated college basketball or baseball fan February thru August can be pretty miserable. I hate (despise is a better adjective) college basketball and college baseball doesn't excite me - even if my Tide team wins. It's just boring. Pro sports are a brief respite but they get old fast because the overpowering vibe I get is the players are just playing for the money - not the love of the sport or the team.
So - for many years I tune out college & pro sports after the college football season is over - and spend my spare time supporting High School golf. I'm an avid golfer and I've seen how profoundly golf changes the lives of average teenagers in high school. High School Golf is as pure as it gets. The kids that play it do it for the love of the sport. Many of the kids in rural high schools get their first experience with golf on the golf team - that's where their lifelong love of the game begins. It's not unusual for a freshman High School Team golfer to shoot 120 in their first competitive round. But by the time that kid becomes a senior they're often low handicap golfers and they've found a game they can play and enjoy for the rest of their lives.
If you really want to have a unique and memorable experience and watch kids really compete and experience the "thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" go watch a High School Golf Tournament.
SUPPORT HIGH SCHOOL GOLF!

I don't give a shite who wins a 64 team tournament or want to invest my time in college baseball where the only position that really matters is the pitcher.
HS Golf is a zillion times more exciting and gratifying.

When I read this, I picture some old fat creepy dude sitting in a beach chair wearing a washed out Bama hat, have no shirt on, with jorts while sipping on a Bud Light watching 15 year old boys play golf.

Well - let me re-image it for you. Imagine a 65 year old millionaire sitting in his home on a beautiful golf course who raised $600,000 with Charity Golf Tournaments for HS Golf in Alabama over the last decade. a-hole.

Well, Alabama is the best at college football, so...
In between the games though we managed to get man to the moon and back several times......

College basketball is awesome, but I cannot take college baseball seriously until they start using wooden bats and not the same bats 7 year olds use. Back in 1999 Marshall McDougals 92 pound arse hit 6 homeruns in one game using those rocket launchers

Yeah, that sounds creepy as frick. I'll just play Madden in my spare time, gives off less of pedo vibe.

I'm not sure anyone can support HS Golf without ending up on some government registry.
