This is a double wide gump. Single wide gumps dont do golf.

I lived in Alabama 3 years. There are so many football only gumps that its not funny. There's a good chance he owns nothing thats orange or navy. He likely wears Alabama gear or colors daily.

I have a son that participated in golf tournaments. If some guy was following him I'd consider him some creep and potential pedo.

Not sure I could without eating carrots, sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese, and drinking orange juice and Sunkist.

College basketball is awesome, but I cannot take college baseball seriously until they start using wooden bats and not the same bats 7 year olds use. Back in 1999 Marshall McDougals 92 pound arse hit 6 homeruns in one game using those rocket launchers

Most bama fans really don't know anything about sports outside of football. Rocket launchers

But my inquisitive nature begs to ask; if high school golf is so great, why are charity fund raisers necessary to make it flourish?

The rural Alabama budget for HS Golf is almost ZERO. I've organized local Country Club and Public Course Charity Golf Tournaments to raise money to field Golf Teams for over 70 Alabama High Schools that had either never fielded a golf team or stopped for budgetary reasons. For the Alabama High School Golfers who become low handicap or scratch golfers the USGA, R&A, and PGA, with help from local charities treat these promising young golfers to trips to the Masters, US Open, PGA, and British Open as well as summer touring trips with tips from the pros around the world to get a first hand look at all the different Professional Golf Tours around the world. I recently hosted two Charity Golf Tournaments for, among others, my grandsons High School Golf Team. The proceeds will fund trips to the British Open for 10 of Alabamas top young promising High School golfers.

A great sport for all. I agree and should be pushed more in high school.

This reminds me of my high school golf days.

We would always make deals with the guys we were playing with in matches and in tournaments.. "I'll give you a 4 on this hole if you act like you didn't see my ball go in the water or OOB."

I know you're taking a beating in this thread, but this is commendable regardless of what anyone else says in here. Giving back and helping others, especially children, is never a bad thing.
