Some questions I have about coaches.....

How safe is Sark if he doesn't make the playoff this year?
If Lane has a 7-6, 8-5 type first season, will the fanbase still be mostly upbeat about the future?
What does Pete have to do, to keep Ole Miss fans from feeling it was really a forced hire and not really who they ultimately want?
If Sumrall qualifies for a bowl at 6-6, will most UF fans just feel like deja vu?
Will the UT fans give Heupel a break this year if the QB play is really as bad as they say it's been in scrimmages?
How hot is Kalen's seat if they do not make the playoff?
If the new AU coach is a success, will the AU fanbase wear ushankas while out at the bowl game?

For Ole Miss, most of us feel 9-3 is the floor with the roster we have. Then on top of that no boneheaded coaching decisions that would make him look like an amateur.

If Kirby’s players get one more driving arrest does the state of Georgia revoke the licenses for all players and force them to ride bikes?

It would matter how it happened (multiple blowouts vs close losses to good teams), as well as if there were any major injuries.
LSU plays a pretty tough schedule so I'd say 10-2 is probably the ceiling and 8-4 is certainly possible. Anything less will get a lot of people restless.

I don’t think he knows. I’ve heard from people actually at the scrimmages that the QB play has been good. Some expected inconsistency that comes with young QBs, but nothing unexpected.
If Heuple has proven anything, it’s that he can make the system work around whomever he has back there.

Not very. More interesting is if they have a good defense but suck on offense, will Muschamp finally get the job he was HCIW for so many years ago?

He could go 3-9 and they will be upbeat. Those are Brian Kelly losses etc.

I've read every practice report and not one of them have said or inferred this

My understanding is it has been up and down. And to be successful you need a lot more ups than downs.

Kirby- 8-5 first year
Kelly- 10-4, wins West
Malzahn- 12-2, SEC champ, national title game loser.
Miles started great and did win a championship but was also eventually fired.
There's more than these, but I've noticed guys who eventually go on to sustained greatness many times start poorly.

I think it's different now with the portal, especially after what Cignetti did. No one is waiting around 3 years for you to get your guys in. The only people I hear talk about that now are Bama fans with DeBoer.

6-6 with Sumrall would be disappointing.
Sarkisian isn't going anywhere. He made 2 Final Fours the past 3 seasons.

Would it matter what the 2 are? Say he drops a game to a cupcake and loses the Ole Miss game. (And say OM turns out to be really terrible, which is unlikely. But for the sake of the scenario)

It probably would to some fans, I personally don't care. No reason to get worked up over some one off situations if the big picture was good.

That was him talking about penalties in the scrimmage. He even sad pre snap issues weren't on the QBs really either

That question was specifically about the QBs and pre snap. He said later that everyone had to be better with it. But the original question was about the QBs and he started with "it wasn't our best day".
